​From Birmingham, Alabama, to Laramie, Wyoming, Food Network Magazine recently completed a cross-country road trip to discover the best slices in every state.

The Arizona winner? The Salsiccia From The Parlor Pizzeria in Central Phoenix. Here's what they had to say about it:

"This popular spot had a former life as a 1950s beauty parlor, and it's fair to say that the place is still sending out some beauties. All of the wood-fired pies are worth trying, but the Salsiccia is a must: a thin, chewy, lightly charred crust loaded with melted slabs of mozzarella and cheddar, grilled radicchio and spicy pork sausage. The kicker is a drizzle of slightly sweet saba, a balsamic vinegar reduction."

The current seasonal pizza at The Parlor is bad ass. Prosciutto, stone fruit, basil and Saba.

Gotta try it since we have been searching for good pizza in this valley for ten yearsnow.  The only way we have survived our search is to go occassionaly to Scottsdale forlavosh.  Uno pizza was right up there but now they left and I can only get that in Chicago now.
