First up: Andrea White of Saffron Kitchen. Her amazing little pies will be back at local farmers' markets in mid-September.
Where I went: Seeing as we [White and her new husband] are still exploring all the beauty and treasures of Arizona, we went to Prescott where we enjoyed an arts festival and hiked around Lynx Lake. We also visited the intriguing towns of Jerome and Cottonwood and made a stop at Montezuma Castle to admire the creativity of a population determined to survive in the desert.
Learn about White's wine and fudge tasting adventures after the jump.

What I ate: One of our favorites was Quince Grill & Cantina in Jerome were we feasted on nachos, homemade guacamole with pomegranates and blue corn enchiladas with wild mushrooms. For dessert we had a variety of fudges and brittles at Copper Country Fudge.
The best part of coming home: Seeing the McDowell Mountains!
Plans for the fall: We are heading home to South Africa to celebrate our recent marriage with our families. Our wedding was at the Desert Botanical Garden and in keeping with theme, our African celebration is at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden in Cape Town.
