Taco Bell Beef Lawsuit (DONG! CRASH!) Dropped

According to the Associated Press, the class-action lawsuit brought against Taco Bell by an Alabama-based law firm claiming the fast food giant's products contain very little meat and requesting they quit referring to their questionable meat mixture as "beef" has been withdrawn.
Whew! My Cheesy Double Decker Taco was startin' to get cold.
Good thing it took less than three months and millions of dollars to figure that one out. Here's what happened:
Beasley Allen, the law firm in Montgomery, Alabama, said it withdrew the lawsuit after changes were made to Taco Bell's marketing practices and product disclosure. Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed called bullshit on that, saying TB made no changes to its products or advertising, did not speak with the law firm, and that the allegations were "absolutely wrong."
The suit was dropped voluntarily by Beasley Allen.
While no money (or beefy crunch burritos) changed hands, Taco Bell said it spent between $3 and $4 million dollars in advertising with vehicles like newspaper ads, TV spots, and a YouTube campaign to counter the accusations.
And while Taco Bell ain't sayin' if there's a financial fallout as a result of the lawsuit, methinks they'll be okay. Beef? Meat filler? Who cares. If you like Taco Bell, would it make a difference anyway?
