Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

Happy St. Paddy's Day!
Why are you reading this? Shouldn't you already be head first into a warm, over priced "pint" of green beer? Normally we would already be on the patio of our beloved Casey Moore's, but over the years we have learned it's best to stay far away from the madness (and the $10 cover charge) that ensuses on the countries biggest amateur drinking night. Skip the mess, and hop on the light rail and head to Phoenix for The Rose and Crown's 16 hour St. Patrick's Day celebration. No cover, live music, DJ's, delicious food and plenty of cold craft beers await. And if you must drink a green beer, they will have that too.

For more St. Patrick's Day event around town, check out our super-informative New Times Events Calender for a complete run down of the day's offerings.

Green Cake Muffin Cup?
St. Patrick's Day treats? No thanks! We'll be totally honest with you, these look and sounds super gross. There is no way we are making cupcake/muffins, whatever you want to call them, with peas. According to the nut job that baked these green monsters "The peas leave a subtle pea flavor". Check out the recipe, if you dare, here.
