Those Slow Food folks sure are busy, cooking up all kinds of "eco-gastronomic" community events to raise awareness of sustainability and supporting local producers.
And you know what? There's always some kind of delicious eats in the plan. Gotta love their priorities. (At left, they're feasting at Atlas Bistro.)
Feeling social? Want to get involved? Hit up the first Tuesday Tasting event of 2011, which takes place tonight at the Downtown Phoenix Public Market, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Grab a drink from the wine bar, enjoy complimentary light bites, and learn more about what's coming up. (Read on for the evening's agenda.)

- Get an update from Patty Emmert, Executive Director Slow Food Phoenix, on where we have been and where we are going
- Learn about our Slow Food in Schools committee and learn how you can help pursue taste education
- Help create awareness around the Slow Food movement
- Learn about leadership opportunities and volunteer to chair a local culinary event
- Learn how to help coordinate or attend a farm tour or farm dinner
- Help coordinate a Tuesday Tasting at one of our favorite local restaurants!
