But apparently the festivities of Christmas have left us all with fuzzy memories about what to do for New Year's Eve. There's a lot going on at Valley restaurants, and thankfully, Chow Bella contributor Shannon Armour has already rounded up a lot of goodies in her daily Eater's Digest posts. Here are some highlights of what she found:
Latilla at The Boulders Resort will host an extravagant five-course dinner from 6 till 9:30 p.m.. The menu will feature Kabocha Squash Veloute, Ghost Chili Popcorn, and your choice of two main course and three desserts. $125++ for each adult and $29 for children ages 12 and under. For a more family-friendly New Years Eve, check out the Pointe Hilton's Squaw Peak Resort's Yote the Coyote's New Year's Eve Party. Dinner reservations start at 6 p.m. at Hole-in-the-Wall restaurant. The evening continues with lots of games, arts & crafts, s'mores making and the kiddos can even watch the ball drop at 10 p.m. and enjoy a sparkling cider toast. Jump on the light rail and live it up at Cheuvront's New Year's Eve Celebration Dinner. Chef Ryan Rivera has created an exceptional menu to ring in 2011. Dinner starts with either Thai lobster soup or a roasted goat cheese salad; then pick your entree -- filet mignon, duck confit or dover sole; and finish up with apple cobbler or chocolate crepes. Petite Maison will also be dishing out New Years Eve Dinner. For $79 ++ per person you can enjoy a four-course meal starting with truffle and chanterelle bisque and diver scallops. Move on to a main course of steak and lobster with crab fricassee and duchesse potatoes and then finish with a Grand Marnier souffle. Wine pairings are available for $35 extra. Just around the corner, Christopher's will be ringing in the new year with a four-course tasting menu created by Chef Christopher Gross. The tasting menu will feature lobster pot pie, chestnut soup with foie gras, rack of lamb, scallops, venison, raspberry mousse macaroons and more. $65 ++ per person, $100 ++ per person with wine pairing by Sommelier Paola Embry. Bloom in Gainey Village will offer a prix-fixe menu with several options to please picky palettes for $55 ++ per person from 5:30 p.m. to close. Main courses include Maine Lobster, New York Steak, Mu Shu Duck, Rack of Lamb, or Yellowtail Tuna.
