Christopher's Serves Limited-Edition Andy Warhol Dom Perignon

Categories: Laudig

Forget about New Kids on the Block. My obsession as an eighth grader was Andy Warhol.

His art, the fashionable people in his world, Nico, Edie, the Velvets, Interview Magazine . . . it was all impossibly glamorous to little me, an image of New York City life and the art scene that shaped my musical tastes and personal aesthetic for years to come. I read his biography for a book report, visited the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, and promptly removed the lace canopy from my childhood bed to cover the whole thing in tinfoil, since I wasn't able to spraypaint my walls silver.

Now I can geek out on a little bit of Andy at Christopher's and Crush Lounge, where chef Christopher Gross has brought in some of the limited-edition Andy Warhol Dom Perignon, available by the glass.

Tasting notes for the 2002 vintage bubbly sound delicious: "The first hints of fresh almond and harvest aromas immediately open up into preserved lemon and dried fruits, the whole rounded off by darker smoky and toasted qualities."

Get it before its 15 minutes of fame are all gone.
