The Hours: An almost unheard of three full hours of happy hour deals: 4 to 7 pm, Monday through Friday.
The Details: A buck off all drafts, glasses of wine, and well drinks, or $2 domestic bottles if you want St. Patrick to roll over in his grave. Appetizers are also half-priced during happy hour.

The Conclusion: In addition to the Irish atmosphere, Rosie McCaffrey's offers just about every major UK draft our little sandrat hearts desire. The Guinness was thick and dense with a heavy head that left behind a respectable beer 'stache upon first swig. For those in your party that eschew the brew, deals on wine and wells were also available at the same one buck discount.
A helpful guide is offered at each table for those of us that can't decide what to drink, with numerous combinations of Guinness, Smithwicks, Harp, Bass and Magner to help the indecisive among us. Next time, we're getting the Velvet Hammer, a thick Guinness with a shot of vanilla Stoli added to it. Plus, Rosie sells bottles of Bushmills Irish whiskey at an even 20 bucks a pop, so you can take a bit of the Irish firewater home with you. It's tax free and cheaper than just about any other booze distributor in the valley.
The appetizers offered were a bit disappointing compared to the fantastic beer and whiskey selection, but were perfectly serviceable in terms of bar food to fill a boozy belly. The pretzels were just a step above freezer grade, and nowhere near as delicious as The Lodge's gigantic happy hour pretzel, but the mustard on the side was sinus-clearing good. The toppings on the corned bee f potato skins were unremarkable, but they must have fried the skins before topping them, because they had a crunchy crispiness that was completely uncharacteristic of your run of the mill tater skins.
