The Best Candy for Halloween Ever, That's Right, Ever.

Categories: Top Lists

Don't lie. We know you've already bought your Halloween candy -- and we know it's not going to make it to October 31. So what'dya get? As far as we're concerned, you can keep your gummy skulls covered in marshmallow, then dipped in chocolate and rolled in sour sugar. We just want our favorites.

10. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - We will take these in any form. Little, big, pieces, pumpkins, whatever just give them to us and lots of them. Nothing could ever take the place of Reese's peanut butter covered in Hersey's chocolate. Nothing.

9. Atomic Fire Balls - For anyone who grew up in the late 80's early 90's, you likely lived through a period where you couldn't get enough of these fiery hard candies. Even after polishing off a bucket of 500 when we were 10 years old, we are still going back for more in our 30's.

Get the rest of the best Halloween candy after the jump.

8. Skittles - The original rainbow is still one of our favorites and we will taste it all day long. A classic candy that never loses its charm.

poprocks578.jpg
7. Pop Rocks - Probably the most fun candy ever made and sometimes, maybe even the most painful. (Ever put the entire pack in your mouth?) Regardless of the flavor, we're stoked when we see the little black envelope.

Candycorn758.jpg
6. Candy Corn - For some reason they always taste better when they are in individual Halloween bags. You know you like them, too. Just because there are old school doesn't make them any less delicious.

5. Pixie Stix - We have never actually snorted the pink stuff, but it's fun to watch other people do it. This picture is a prime example of why it made our list.

The best halloween candy for me would be... those mini packs sour patch kids. THOSE ARE THE BOMB. While I have never sniffed up Pixi-Stix, I'll admit to sniffing up the little crystals from the patches.

Ok, I agree with the person that said lindt truffles, they are awesome! I also like werthers originals chewy, 100 grand bars, and milkey ways. I don't like candy corn, I like the caramel apple pops, and btw, I think that pixie stix is just smarties powder for everyone saying that smarties should be on the list. And hershey's? That is lame for first.

Milky Ways and Snickers are at the top. Also anything Wonka. But Reese's should be wayyyyy above #10!!! And don't forget Starburst!

Pixie stix are one of the worst because they almost always break open and spill everywhere...

I can't believe you guys didn't put in any Lindt chocolate. Is it because it's so good that no one gives it out at Halloween? Or have you poor guys never tasted any?

This list confuses me.

I seriously doubt anyone has ever received pop rocks or salt water taffy. While yummy, they have nothing to do with Halloween.

Glad nerds made the list. Where are smarties? Mini mars? Peppermint patties? Spree? Freaking bottlecaps? M&Ms? Malt balls? Boston baked beans? Gobstoppers? And above all: milk daddies?!

This list is terrible, is the writer like 80? A hershey bar #1? Pop rocks? Where's the Snickers at?

Hey Shannon, how much did Hersey's pay you for this horribly slanted and outright WRONG list?

I have to back up the saltwater taffy. Love it!

Worst list evar!

Where's the hell is Kit Kat! Hershey at #1? Nestle's Crunch is better. No Snickers? Yet you picked Hershey's Chocolate Bars ?!?! Oh yeah, no M&M :(

What the fuck? All but TWO of these will get your house egged as soon as the kids realize what you gave htem.

I grew up in the late 80's, and I've never even SEEN an Atomic Fire Ball or a Caramel Apple Pop. Candy Corn is gross, as is salt water taffy. No bite size Snickers? No M&M's? Oh, and you put the most boring chocolate at #1.

Reese's peanut butter cup period. Nothings better.

Candy Corn? Baby Ruths? Mini Butterfingers? Your list is broken.

+1 to Cadbury chocolate being better than Hersheys. Candy Corn is admittedly gross but has always been a guilty pleasure for me this time of year (Mellow Cream Pumpkins are better.)Salt Water Taffy has no business being on the list :-(

Reese's? Nah.. give me the mini Milky Way, Three Musketeers, and, for the East Coasters, Charleston Chew bars and/or the mini bags of M&M's anytime!

Hershey's? Honestly that's the best you have over there? You should try some Cadbury's chocolate from Ireland. Now that's creamy chocolate.

Salt Water Taffy and Candy Corn are gross. The rest are okay.

Eh! Amateur-hour here for sure. The KING-size Snickers Bar was the one that I remember my friends and I circling a house for. We would mix and match our costumes to hit that one house up for as many Snickers as we could before the owner caught on. (pro-tip for all the kids!)

Candy corn is often on a list of the world's worst treats. They're gross and waxy and don't have any flavor. They're not even sweet. Skittles aren't much better than candy corn.

I like Hershey bars, but I have to agree that it is a disappointing #1. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups would have made a better #1.

I love Chocolate bar. It's certainly is a great choice for Halloween

Hershey's Chocolate Bars? That was a disappointing number 1.

I beg to differ, not all Reese's peanut butter cups are created equal. The minis are only foil-wrapped, which isn't enough to convince Mom that they haven't been loaded up with heroin and razor blades by those weirdos down the block that none of the other adults will talk to. Go for the single, plastic-wrapped full-size cups.

Besides, the chocolate-to-peanut-butter ratio is off on the minis, it's perfect on the regular-sized ones.

I think the Big Cup has the ratio perfect. For some reason I don't like the Dark Chocolate Reese's, but I love dark chocolate usually.
