Portuguese Wine Tasting
Wednesday, September 22nd join Sportsman's North Scottsdale and The Arizona Chapter of AIWF for a special wine tasting of Portuguese Wines. If you are not familiar with The American Institute of Wine and Food, it was started back in 1981 to advance the appreciation of what we eat and drink. The Arizona Chapter hosts a number of events throughout the year that fill up fast.
Tomorrow's event will feature several Portuguese wines presented to you by Es Spears of Franklin Distributors. Chef Jenn Evens of Sportsman's will also be serving up special tapas creations as well. The tasting starts at 6:30. Tickets are $25 for AIWF members and $40 for non members. Click here for tickets.
Holy cow, our mouths started watering the second we laid eyes on that beautiful photo above. The Grilled Beer and Cheese Sandwich -- made by Gabrielle at honestfare.com -- is something we are going to make the second we have a spare moment to make a batch of homemade beer bread (our photos probably won't be as good though). Two different types of cheese and caramelized onions melted together on grilled cheese bread. Delish!
