Euphoric Energy

The taste of Euphoric Energy's watermelon/kiwi energy drink could be described as similar to sucking on watermelon Jolly Ranchers. It could also be described as similar to blending some kiwi flavored Kool-Aid, carbonated water, watermelon chunks, and a ton of sugar, then sipping it.

It's not an altogether bad taste; it's just very fruity and super sweet. It could probably also use a little more carbonation, but on the whole, Phoenix-based Euphoric Energy has concocted a juicy energy booster -- albeit with a temporary boost.

The formula contains some of the standard ingredients in most energy drinks: Caffeine (140 mg per 16-ounce can), Taurine (1,200 mg per can), and sugar (a whopping 52 grams per can). But unlike energy drinks like Red Bull or Monster, which contain a B-vitamin complex, Euphoric Energy contains only B12, and just ten micrograms of it.

Euphoric Energy also contains an interesting herbal blend. Ginseng and Inositol are more common in energy drinks; EE has both, but also includes Maca Root Extract, Suma Root Extract, and Damiana Leaf Extract.

So Euphoric Energy's watermelon/kiwi drink tastes like ultra-sweet artificial watermelon and includes an army of vitamins and herbs -- but is it actually energizing?

Well, yes and then no. At first, Euphoric Energy is crisp and refreshing, and when you get to the bottom of the can, you will feel a boost. The feeling's similar to taking the first eye-opening sip from a cup of really strong coffee, but subsides after about an hour, when it's replaced by a mild sugar crash.
