Tonight, downtown restaurant Cheuvront will host a four-course Wine Dinner with pairings from Sonoma County Winery Matanzas Creek. Dinner will start with vichyssoise followed by an apple micro salad, chicken confit eggrolls and seared chicken breast, finished off with peach and lemon sorbets. Wines will include a Chardonnay, Pinor Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc. Reservations are required. Click here for the detailed menu and to reserve your spot.

$69 Hot Dog
Famed New York restaurant Serendipity 3, home of the World's Most Expensive Ice Cream Sundae (it's covered in gold and topped with caviar!) and the World's Largest Hot Chocolate,

has broken another Guinness World Record. The World's Most Expensive Hot Dog debuted July 23 for National Hot Dog Day. The $69 foot long, which is actually referred to as a "haute dog" is an all beef dog grilled in truffle oil and placed on a salted pretzel bun toasted in truffle butter. Then it gets the royal treatment, topped with duck foie gras, caramelized onions, heirloom tomato ketchup and black truffle Dijon mustard. That's quite a dog! The over-the-top wieners will be a menu staple once Serendipity 3 revises its menu.

The balance of healthy and on-the-go is sometimes difficult to find. Some days you just need something quick and convenient that doesn't come from a drive through. Say hello to Walking Tacos. Just like homemade tacos but instead of stuffing normal tacos fillings into a conventional taco shell, you throw everything into a bag of crushed-up Doritos. Genius!
