A darling friend just introduced me to a charming gal named Corianne Sizemore, who just launched her new, vegan-friendly Treehouse Bakery, this week.

While a retail bakery shop is in her future and she plans to start selling at the Downtown Phoenix Public Market as soon as her catering permit comes through (by June, hopefully), Sizemore says she's currently based out of a kitchen at 5th Avenue and Thomas, selling cakes, cookies, cupcakes, cheesecakes and other goodies by special order (call 480-560-5233).

One of her most popular pastries is a mocha latte cupcake, with espresso chocolate cake and espresso buttercream frosting -- it's completely vegan, like all of her stuff. Up next, she's working on perfecting a vegan marshmallow.

Sizemore also sells her baked goods on Etsy (under the seller name Treehouse Vegan) and has a presence on Facebook and Twitter.
