Number 95: "The Best Egg White Omelette You'll Ever Have" at Fez

Yes, that's really what the menu says. With a name like that, I figured Fez was really asking for criticism. It's a lot to live up to.

But I can hardly do weekend brunch at Fez without ordering this savory breakfast dish. It comes in traditional, spicy harissa, and curry versions, and the harissa is just mouthwatering. Combined with melted provolone, spinach, and tomato, with slices of ripe avocado on top, it takes the humble egg white omelette into splurge territory. As an added bonus, the side salad tossed with fragrant lemon basil vinaigrette is a tasty alternative to typically heavy breakfast sides like potatoes.
