Gallo Blanco Cafe's Posole: Dinner for Two Under $10

True, you might want to toss in a sangria or two -- thereby upping your bill, and, most likely, your craving for a big bowl of guacamole and homemade chips. But if you're really broke, and still jonesing for dinner out, you can feed yourself and a friend well on just a bowl of the posole at Gallo Blanco.
The bowl is so big it looks like a practical joke, but no one's laughing as they ladle out the hot soup, filled with big chunks of tender pork and hominy. Piles of cilantro, cabbage and peppers you add yourself round out the meal.
The $8 posole was on the specials blackboard last Thursday evening, so call ahead to be sure there's a pot on the stove.
