Dixie's Tupperware Party Offers Classic Plastics with a Twist

Categories: Events
We've been eyeing the leftovers in our fridge, some of them of questionable lineage, possibly dating back to Thanksgiving (don't worry -- we're talking about this Thanksgiving), and pondering whether we should tackle the fuzzy brown contents inside or just toss them, unopened, into the trash. Either way, we might be in need of some new Tupperware and we've uncovered an unusual way to check out the classic plastics.

Dixie's Tupperware Party, touted as the largest on stage Tupperware show in the country, is coming to The Mesa Arts Center for a second time in recent history. The show, which runs from December 9th - 13th, isn't your mother's Tupperware party with the folding chairs, lame snacks, and burping lid demos.

Instead, Dixie's Tupperware Party is a full stage production promising guffaws and giveaways. Attend the party and you will be treated to the tall tales of Dixie Longate, who doesn't come by her top ten Tupperware salesperson status without a good bit of hustle.

If you can't make the show, shop Dixie's Tupperware site to scoop up some great Tupperware products.

We're thinking the jello mold might be perfect for whipping up a giant jello shot, and the round cake taker is looking like just the thing to help us pass that store bought cake off as a homemade confection. And if we do decide to ditch the leftovers, plastic and all, we might just treat ourselves to the mother of all gift sets, which promises to have something for everyone.

The tickets are $37. Check the Mesa Arts Center website or call 480-644-6500 for more information.
