As more restaurants incorporate local ingredients on their food menus, some places are also putting fresh produce in their cocktails. At Metro Brasserie, you can get what seems like a serving of fruit in one refreshing Pimm's Cup, which is jammed with cucumber, lemon and apple, not to mention fresh mint.

The drink's light and botanical, making it perfect for brunch. And be sure to order one next time you're at Wimbledon--it's one of the official cocktails of the famed British tennis tournament.

Use a Collins glass, which is a true cylinder, to showcase all the goodies inside.

The bartender: Josh Hadley, bartender at Metro Brasserie since it opened in 2008

The ingredients: 1/4 quarter apple, sliced; 3-4 quarter-inch thick cucumber slices; dozen fresh mint leaves; 2 lemon wedges; 1 ounce lemon juice; 1/2 ounce Hendrick's Gin; 2 ounces Pimm's No. 1; splash ginger ale
