Jell-O Showdown: And the Winner Is . . .

Today I'm counting my Christmas blessings, and they're named Jonathan, Wynter, Cheri, and Laura.

These overachieving Chow Bella contributors went above and beyond for our Jell-O Showdown, where each of them brought a tasty, Jell-O-centric dessert to the office one day, all in the hopes of getting some blog props.

Man, these people don't make it easy on me!

Jonathan's scented English creams, made from a Jamie Oliver recipe, came in two versions, strawberry jam and star anise, and basil. The latter was almost undessertlike, and reminded me of milky fresh mozzarella.

Wynter's original recipe for raspberry cheesecake, dubbed "Berry Good Holiday Cheesecake," was as delicious as it was pretty, with bright blue Jell-O snowflakes and whipped cream on top.

Cheri showed up with an eye-catching tray of martini-shaped Jell-O cutouts that actually had vodka in them (sure made for an interesting afternoon). The "Cosmo Bites" didn't really stay on their sticks like they were supposed to, but they were fun and festive all the same.

And Laura jazzed up her "Sparkling Grapefruit Pie" (she added "sparkling" to the name, which I loved) with a homemade crust.

Whose dessert won me over?

I gotta hand it to Laura. That buttery crust and the fresh, not-too-sweet citrus filling were uniquely delicious. Congrats!
