Irish Martini at Casey Moore's
With the holidays come a strong sense of nostalgia, and there's nothing more nostalgic for us than sipping Hot chocolate (with a shot of Bailey's, of course) bundled up near a heat lamp on the Casey Moore's patio.
Adriane Goetz Jennifer Banaszewski brings a touch of class to the typical Irish drink fare.
Bartender Jennifer Banaszewski understands this better than most because she's been serving up drinks at the outside bar for nearly four years. She knows that Casey Moore's means a lot to many people, and loves the diversity of the crowd.
Whether it's "the college kids, the hippies, the hipsters" or "the old dudes that have been here forever and basically live inside," the bar offers something unique to each customer.
It's also one of the most festive bars around. Casey's is notorious for its St. Patrick's Day shenanigans (complete with green beer), and its yearly parade of Halloween costumes (not to mention the ghosts it's said to house).
The bar ups the decor for Christmas as well, and offers special drinks during the winter holidays. This year Jennifer and the gang have been mixing up White Russians with eggnog; ask nicely and she'll even rim the glass with cinnamon.
Perhaps Casey's greatest dose of holiday cheer is the fact that it's open through the holidays. The bar closed at 6pm on Christmas Eve, but it will be open from 6pm-2am on Christmas day... er, night.
Although Casey Moore's isn't really isn't known as a martini bar, Jennifer still likes to diversify the menu for those not crazy about the typical Irish bar selection (aka beer, scotch and whiskey).
Adriane Goetz The Irish Martini: a great compromise between the pubgoers and the clubgoers.
Currently her favorite drink to make is the Irish Martini because "everyone seems to like it," and its red and green appearance makes it festive treat that goes down easy and is pleasing to the palate.
We have to agree, but feel free to try it at home and decide for yourself.
