New on Mill Ave: Hippies Cove

• <p>Hippie's Cove - my first impression was that the food smelled great. It was fun to watch the food being made and nice to be able to select additions and toppings. They ask what you want on your tacos or burritos - you can ask for "more of this" or "less of that" or "the other kind of cheese"...and have it customized to your taste. This is some of the best Mexican food I've had; the taste definitely lived up to the aroma that wafted out the door. You have to try the fish tacos and salsas. The prices are quite reasonable on food and beverages, beer and other bar drinks. You can sit out on the patio, but we sat inside so we could check out all of the memorabilia on the walls and ceiling. The decor is eclectic, with a hippy flair and some nostalgic items that will take you right down "memory lane". There are surfing pics and items that will make you think of California beaches or a surfer's cove on Maui or Kauai. The service was good. I think it was the owner who came out and made a point to ask how we liked the food and the decor. It was a nice personal touch. It's a great combination - excellent food, hundreds of things to look at to catch a memory or a wave, and great service with low prices. Go. </p>
