SB 1070 Remix, the Dennis Gilman Cut

Gilman televises the revolution, or part of it...

Lordy, I've had enough of neo-Nazi hugger, 12-point loser, and ex-state Senate President Russell Pearce's gorilla mug. No doubt many of you have as well. But until the wingnuts and Tea Party idgits in this state run screaming at the sight of him, I plan to keep shoving him down their throats in this blog as often as I can.

The haters, the lobbyists, the fellow-travelers, the bigoted blue-hairs, and most Arizona Republicans are gonna have to own him. Sorry, he's your rabid Wonder Dog, not mine.

I assure you, when a tsunami of brown finally, as it must, washes this state clean of prejudice, or as clean as it's ever gonna get, no one will claim Pearce as a pal, not even the wackjobs who want to give him $260,000 of taxpayer money. Because the balance of power will have shifted, and the Rs will be grateful for whatever brown votes they can nab.

Such are my thoughts on watching local videographer Dennis Gilman's recap of last week's action in D.C. and on the streets of Phoenix. In the nation's Capitol, at a U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on 1070, U.S. Senators Charles Schumer and Dick Durbin played good cop-bad cop, slapping around Pearce around till he looked like he was going to stroke out.

For those that have a few hours to spend here is the entire raw Senate Hearing off Cspan:

http://www.c-span.org/Events/S...

Todd Landfried basically calls out all of Pearce's propaganda with facts and actual figures.  He didn't let Pearce get away with his usual fear mongering lies about crime and cost to the taxpayers. This is what  Sinema should've done when she debated him on TV over the years. She had so many great opportunities but I guess she became too friendly with Pearce to use facts against him.  Steve Gallardo countered Pearce's rant about Robert Krantz with the cold blooded murders of 9-year-old Brisenia Flores had begged the border vigilantes who had just broken into her house, after watching her father murdered she was murdered. and Juan Verella who was murdered by his drunk white neighbor who came over to argue about SB 1070.  RObert Krantz is stiill an unsolved murder with no suspects. These cases are already solved and clearly involved pure racism or the polorizing racist effect 1070 had on an unstable white man and his booze. Gallardo passionately spoke of women afraid to go to police after sexual assaults and abuse for fear of them or a family member being deported.  Deconcini? Let me put it this way: When you say you are embarrassed for Arizona remember you are one that promoted Arpaio in 2008 and your relationship with CCA is unacceptable.  Sure. Deconcini's testimony was powerful but to expect people to look the other way when he helped create the problem is insulting.

A Tsunami of Colorblind "Good" is needed to cleanse Arizona of its Hate, and Predjudice.

Arizona definitely has become the "Hate State."

Lets Biuld a less Hateful America.

This will Restore our Nation, including Economically.

We must learn to all once again work together for Prosperity.

"America is great because it is good, when it ceases to be good, it ceases to be great."

Tsunami of brown? What a racist thing to say. Flip it to tsunami of white and we'll have the whole cadre of race baiters descending on Phoenix proper to denounce such hatful words.

One persons bigot is another's ethnic hero I guess - It will be a much better world when all insults carry the same meaning across the board and racism is not tolerated by anybody = that includes the "good" kind.

If DeConcini truly cares about the brown people of Arizona, he would resign from the Board of CCA (Corrections Corporation of America). It's time for him to make a choice. SB1070 passes through the U.S. Supreme Court, CCA stands to gain handsomely along with the special interests and prison profiteers who control Arizona at the highest levels. ALL are at risk for destruction in a state that is taking over $50,000,000 of money for those who suffered from forfeiture and giving it to the private prison corporations to ramp up the mass industrial prison complex, at the expense of the taxpayers, people, education, health care and building stronger communities.

Great video Dennis!  Keep on keepin on!  Gotta keep sending this story out until more eyes open, more hearts soften and more minds open to the truth here in Maricopa County.

Lemons is white, dude. Sees brown tide as positive. That's not racist, you are.

You said it very well.  I would've been more impressed with Deconcini's testimony if he stated he was embarrassed for the Arizona he promoted and helped create. If I put him in this video I would've had to go into his CCA involvement as well as the fact that he actually endorsed Arpaio (did a robo-call for him) as was covered in this blog.  It's

definitely a topic worth covering. There was a protest about his involvement in CCA held in Tucson but it received little press.
