The president has other things to do than worry about this one issue.

Sure it IS an issue, and the president did agree to support the effort. He even said in January he supported an immigration overhaul.

However, it is up to Congress (namely Arizona's most senile senator, John McCain) to help get something like that through.

What Republicans need to do is stop pussyfooting around. An immigration overhaul would actually help lower the national debt by bringing in more people to work. More people working means less unemployment and more taxes being paid. More taxes being paid means more money for Social Security, Medicare, etc.

The only reason we even have these "Don't separate the families" rallies, is due to the leftwing, and improper, interpretation of the U.S. Constitution on "birthright" citizenship. We never had citizenship by being born on U.S. soil. It was 2 U.S. citizen parents giving birth.

Quite frankly, it's humiliating.

When you combine this with the extreme hypocrisy for their utter silence regarding how Mexicans brutally enforce their border with Guatemala and Belize and how Mexicans routinely abuse their "undocumented" from Central America and the circle is complete.
