Russell Pearce, Serial Liar, Endorses Mitt Romney, Tells the Truth for Once

Pearce is right about one thing: He and Romney share the same immigration stance

According to a recent item in the Washington Post's Election 2012 Blog, recalled state Senate President Russell Pearce has endorsed Mitt Romney in the Republican presidential primary, more than a month after Romney won Sand Land's GOP contest.

As a result, Romney immediately called a press conference and conceded the general election to President Obama.

Okay, Romney didn't concede the general. Why, he hasn't even whupped Rick Santorum yet.

But he might as well concede that he'll lose the national Latino vote by a massive margin, with a neo-Nazi-hugging pol like Pearce declaring that Romney's immigration policy "is identical to mine."

Indeed, though I've exposed Pearce time and time again as a serial liar with no affinity for the truth, in this case, I must agree with him when he calls Romney's position on immigration a duplicate of his.

That is 100 percent true, and it just happens to be a point I made in a recent feature on the GOP hopeful: "Bad Mormon: Mitt Romney's Anti-Immigrant Stance Doesn't Jibe with LDS Teachings."

Romney's immigration adviser is Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, the architect of Pearce's breathing-while-brown legislation Senate Bill 1070, which has in its preamble, this sentence:

"The legislature declares that the intent of this act is to make attrition through enforcement the public policy of all state and local government agencies in Arizona."

And "attrition through enforcement" is identical to Romney's suggestion that if America makes life hard on the 12 million undocumented in our midst (as if life wasn't hard for them already), they will "self-deport."

Why hasn't Rick Santorum endorsed Mitt Romney yet? He can't. Santorum cannot endorse a Morman. It would be counter to his extreme right wing view of "only my religion is right." Not that I'm a Romney fan, but thank God that Santorum is out.

The border is never going to be secured for the United States ...."Period" no border has never been secured, Not Berlin, Not mexico, not china, not north Korea, not Israel, Borders...among others.

We can just patrol it and oversee the border. NO Border is Secure prof.Theres always going to be Mexicans in this country. so lets face it we need to get along together, Theres Canadians, Australian, African citizens and other people from different nationalities that over stay their visa but we don't hear nothing in the Arizona news about that. Only about Mexicans.

And on regards to Joe Arpaio and Russell Pears  They NEEDS TO GO.  I'm embarrassed they represent Arizona in whatever capacity.

Millions of illegal immigrants have been in this country for 20 years or more and have relatives who are legal voting citizens. If politicians threaten to deport their loved ones, they won't like it one bit. Life in the real world sucks for Repubs.

...so all Latino's feel the same way about the illegal immigration issue?

I am offended that you choose to race bait and generalize in order to bolster your argument.  We get it.  You hate Russell Pearce.  It doesn't justify your bigoted comments which insult the intelligence of Latinos everywhere.

Um, dude, straw man alert: He didn't say all Latinos feel the same about illegal immigration. But the overwhelming majority do not want their fellow Latinos run out of the country. He gave you some evidence of this, with a link. You didn't attack the facts, you attacked the person bringing you the facts. Logical fallacy.

He routinely shoots air at Mr. Lemons. Not sure why, but he does. Most of us have learned to just ignore it. He seems to take some relief after having shot the messenger, so to speak, so it all works out for us. Anyway, Doc, there ya have it. Logic has really nothing to do with some of his posts.

Tommy, YPS works for the MCSO shurf and is very likely a member of the Old Goat's command staff. Hence the reason he shoots the messenger.

Romney should NOT accept narcissistic, corrupt and mentally sick Pearce's worthless, bullshit "endorsement."

Romney was doing just fine as a candidate until this babbling idiot came along. Pearce is as bad as the Bald Bunion of Pinal County. Pearce was recalled, then booted out, because of his extremism, his hatred and bias towards Mexicans, his inability to actually represent the people of LD18, and on and on and on...

Pearce is poisonous to the touch, just like his good buddy the MCSO shurf. Hopefully Romney sees that before too much damage is done to his campaign. Speaking of the Old Fool, isn't he supposed to endorse Romney now that Rick Perry is out of the race?

"horrific and unjust".  Okay, I've said numerous times that not one person in the US wants to have people immigrate here without the proper visas documentation.  Is that true?  I'd like to hear a reporter from New Times actually quote some poll which asks, "Do you support illegal immigration?".

Having a person here without the proper documentation "self-deport" seems like the right thing to do.  Not unjust at all, let alone horrific - if they self-deport, they can come back legally.  If they don't self-deport, and they get caught here, they will not be allowed to re-enter the country through the proper immigration channels.

I've gone down to Mexico and reveled in the foreign lifestyle there - it's great in most places.  I didn't feel it was "horrific and unjust" to make the trip and back (although the wait at the border was pretty long).  I'm wondering if the author of this article can provide a couple examples of someone who "self-deported" who experienced horrific and unjust conditions as a result?

BTW - I'm not saying SB1070 resulted in ANYONE self-deporting - it's a stupid bigoted law and an over reaction to a relatively small problem.  It just seems like an over-statement to say that because someone "self-deports" themselves to their country of origin (or Canada?) that it is horrific and unjust.

Found this "petition ad" over on Snorin Alliance regarding BAN and Pearce's "buy-cott" of New Times advertisers.  It's a very entertaining read.  If you haven't already seen it, take a peek at the hysteria of the bat shit crazies in the GOP.

BTW - I found the petition started a week ago by Sean McCaffery.  So far it has 11 signatures, including his.  3 of them are from Arizonians.  I think Greg Patterson's prediction that Pearce and McCaffery's "buy-cott" just might tip the scale and put VVM out of business is - in a word - DELUSIONAL.

ROTFL.  There is another petition calling for the removal of Dougherty's petition demanding Arpaio's resignation (which has over 25,000 signatures) because we shouldn't call for the resignation of a "sheriff who is doing his job well".  The petition calling for the removal of Dougherty's petition has ...  drum roll please ....

ZERO signatures in more than 2 weeks.

Now that's funny stuff.

11 signatures on a "buy-cott?" Delusional is right... Sounds like Pearce and McCaffrey have been listening to Candy Andy and Aubuchon...

I said this about GED Jan's selection of Greg Patterson on azcentral.com:

GED Jan should've selected soon-to-be-suspended, disgraced former Deputy Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Alexander for the Regents post.

After all, Rachel's a "conservative" and she's a blogger. She's a perfect fit for this post.

BTW - This same Greg Patterson is Brewer's nomination to the Board of Regents.  Scary stuff!

It was actually Greg Patterson of the Espresso Pundit who predicted that a boycott of New Times advertisers would do Village Voice Media a great deal of harm and could even tip the scale to put them out of business.  I've read the article a few times and I'm still not sure if he was serious when he said it.  LOL.

didn't Pearce cozy up to Rick Santorum a few weeks ago at an AZGOP dinner?  His buddy Joe Apaio endorsed Santorum over Romney.

["Russell Pearce wouldn't know honesty if it French-kissed him, asked him
to dance the fandango and offered to split the tab on a room at the
nearest Motel 6. He could give lessons in lying to Bill Clinton, for
cryin' out loud. The man lies like he breathes. Should he stop lying for
any sustained length of time, he might need CPR to revive."]

Not quite a clinical definition of a pathological liar, but close enough. Change the name to the Old Goat from MCSO and there is no difference.

["pathological lying has been defined as "falsification entirely
disproportionate to any discernible end in view, may be extensive and
very complicated, and may manifest over a period of years or even a
lifetime."]

I'd be worried honesty was a hooker if she did that to me.

Pearce just can't keep his yap shut. Romney had a chance at Obama, could have beat him over the head with Fast and Furious everyday. Republicans and Democrats alike, are led by tards. peace

Dude, Fast and Furious just put in prison a gun-running criminal gang!  It worked.

Out of the MILLIONS of weapons smuggled to cartel and terrorists by criminal gangs of U.S. Citizens acting as straw buyers for these end purchasers, the Fast and Furious SECRET program only followed about 2000 guns, of which 1400 were accounted for.  The government agency did not buy the guns and did not determine where they were sold when they left this country.

This was a COVERT program which tried to STOP the smuggling of weapons into the hands of terrorists and criminal gangs by identifying the chain of buyers and sellers in the illegal smuggling networks.  It worked and the level of smuggling is down considerably because the rat bastards who are buying weapons here and selling them to terrorists which mean to harm our country know they'll get caught.

The people who "blew the whistle" on this program are traitors to our law enforcement personnel's mission to keep this country safe from criminals and terrorists.  They are quite likely sympathetic to the terrorists who destroyed the Twin Towers in New York on 9/11/2001.  You must be one of those terrorist sympathizers cause you're cheering the loss of an effective law enforcement tool.

You and your criminal buddies can go straight to Timbuktu.
