Good thing Pearce's old Boss Sheriff Arpaio has his Stooges as A.G, and M.C.A.G. otherwise Pearce, his Brother, Two Nieces, the Tea Party Official, and the wonderful Ringer/Sham Candidate Mrs Cortez would all be charged with their Felony Electoral Rigging, and Manipulating Scheme they engauged in in Pearces Recall Eletion.

 Reading Schedule O....$5,000 for their "geo-cities style" website?  They should be investigated by the IRS for that write off.

This weekend I'm going to Harkins for a movie and stop in at one of the restaurants that advertise in the New Times. And next weekend...and the weekend after that, etc. 
Kudos and bouquets to the advertisers in the New Times. The only paper in the valley
that publishes the "whole picture".

Whatever the Pearce supporters boycott, we'll drive across town and support those businesses. Had enough of Pearce hatred and abuse of power that has destroyed the Arizona we came to with all the false PR materials. If Pearce prevails, businesses and the state will lose, while the handful of profiteers keep on keeping on with ALEC/Koch Bros. millions. 

I know someone else pointed this out already, but I just can't get over their stunning stupidity of calling their boycott a "buycott". A buycott is the opposite of a boycott! LOL!

To counteract the effect of this buycott, I propose we all show more SUPPORT for New Times advertisers.  Today, we'll go to Bourbon Street, Hi-Liter, and Centerfolds.  Tomorrow, Jaguars, Amazons, and Band-Aids. 

I wouldn't worry too much if I were New Times' advertisers.  Anyone who's been to a Pearce rally can see that BAN's supporters aren't exactly in the highest socioeconomic strata. 

I will buy more from a New Times advertiser because of this shit.  These dudes are boobs.

This is going to hurt their cause much more than it's going to have any effect on New Times. They keep pushing and pushing and it's just more dialogue to add to the string of dialogue now taking place in this beautiful state of Arizona. Pearce, Arpaio, Lesko, Seel  - they just keep adding more ammunition to the fire. It's time for everyone to get angry over the politicians in this state - and I think we are!  2012 the year of change.

It's way past time that we -- the "radical middle" stand up to the "radical right" and Russell Pearce's polarization movement that has dominated Arizona politics for far too long -- and say "enough." We want solutions that promote the general welfare -- not Pearce's welfare.

The only one convinced of Pearce's moral superiority is Pearce and his flock of extreme partisans! Oh -- and as a "true" conservative -- I think the Phoenix New Times rocks!

Too bad 501(c)4's don't have to list names/addresses of who they got their money from. 

But having seen Arpaio's and Pearce's finance reports for several years now, it's a pretty sure bet their support comes from targeting and preying upon elderly OUT OF STATE retired senior citizens as well.

Add in that it was a long shot that what few local supporters they may have actually patronize NT's advertiser's businesses in the first place.
 
Given all this, Pearce's boycott on local businesses is pretty laughable, and given the economy, an extremely bad strategy on his part.

Russell Pearce is an effing sick old man who would rather target harmless Hispanics than attempt to repair the sunk economy, give schools more money for more teachers, and grow jobs. He'd rather spend $10 million on private prison beds than hiring 25 new teachers.

It's thanks to right-wing extreme pieces of shit like Pearce that Arizona is a police state. I wonder how much money Pearce makes from the profit of the private prison beds from CCA?

Calling their "boycott" a "buycott" is entirely consistent with the right wing's habit of giving Orwellian names to everything -- like renaming the Estate Tax, the Death Tax to trick voters into thinking it applies to them although if you're not extremely wealthy you'd never pay a dime. The right wing screamed bloody murder when principled leaders advocated boycotting Arizona in protest of it's racial-profiling and constitution-violating SB1070. Looks to me like they are just trying to avoid accountability for hurting Arizona businesses with a "boycott". They want to do it, they just don't want people to equate it with what they were screaming about for months on end.

Id like to call up Russ next week and lay down some biblical law so to speak..by quoting several Bible versus that contradict his bs religious claims..see, in the Bible, on more than a few occasions, it states "and you should treat the alien as your brother, for you were once aliens yourselves in Egypt."..And as this is a nation of immigrants, i want to hear his reply.
