Michelle Ugenti's Masturbation Comment and Her Foot-in-Mouth Disease

Tea Party princess Michelle Ugenti has a mouth on her, that's for sure.

The Republican state House Representative and former real-estate peddler was elected to represent District 8 voters in 2010, largely with the assistance of Clean Elections funding and the campaign hackery of Clean Elections-parasite Constantin Querard.

And what has Clean Elections -- essentially a form of welfare for politicians funded by court assessments and voluntary contributions from you, the taxpayer -- bought us in Ugenti? Well, let's just say the Scottsdale mom has all the class of Danny DeVito's character in the FX sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Recently, despite the fact that she owes her position to a nanny-state program for politicos, she backed a proposal to require almost all students at Arizona universities to pay $2,000 out-of-pocket, regardless of the financial aid they'd scored to help them attend school.

When some 100 college students showed up to a committee hearing to voice opposition to a law that would make going to college even harder for them than it already is, Ugenti callously remarked, "Welcome to life."

Just because some people have gamed the Clean Elections laws doesn't make the program a "form of welfare" for politicans.
What Lemons fails to mention is the alternative: The Citizens United approach where Corporate interests decide who holds office. As pathetic as Ugenti is-she was elected by the voters and any honest challenger had the same oppurtunity. Blaming this on Clean Elections is like claiming women drivers are bad because some cause accidents. It's not reality although there is always evidence to support the claim. It's similer to wanting to kill food assistance because someone, somewhere traded foodstamps for crack.

Unless you beleive the Koch brothers are better at picking our leaders then the people-we are better off with Clean Elections then without.

Dennis I believe the point of Stephen's article was to remind Mrs Ugenti of the path that led to her election was paved by hand out's from the state, which she eagerly accepted only now she is harassing college students to ante up 2k per year for tuition!

Seems a little odd that the Tea Party Princess is fine with the government spending extra money when it benefits her, yet she is hammering college students for an extra coin when they are typically broke!

Every dishonest politician hopes that you and other people dont vote. The only reason why they remain in office is because too many people refuse to vote. Only when people realize that when enough good people vote the crooks out of office will we ever see a better quality of people in office. It was VOTERS who recalled Pearce from office, not the people who complain about the problem but never vote.
Dishonest politicians fear an angry voter than they fear a whiner who refuses to vote. Which one do you want to be?
