Russell Pearce and the Fake Jerry Lewis Twitter Account

lewis333.jpg
Gay jokes, the true sign of a limited intellect...

The product of some right-wing wag or the latest example of dirty pool from the camp of state Senator Russell Pearce? I'll opt for a little of both, as the phony Twitter account under the name of Legislative District 18 recall candidate Jerry Lewis is just the sort of sophomoric low-brow cheap shot that the troglodytes supporting Pearce would think is hella funny.

Remember, this is the same group of mean-spirited nudniks who count a padlock to the groin as a legitimate campaign tactic.

And so, while it may be tempting to laugh off this fake Twitter as political hijinks, it's written in such a way that some might take it literally, despite the obvious lies and smears therein.

Note that it's not listed as the "FakeJerryLewis" Twitter. As such, it's just more proof that all the Pearce folks have, aside from outside money, is deception, calumny, and intimidation. Honesty about their political hero Pearce would ensure his downfall.

Will Joe Arpaio be investigating this case of identity theft?

I am sure that many people considered Adolf Eichmann to be a decent guy that had a misguided love for his country.  I mean its not like he loaded the trains and ovens himself, right?

You know you're an idiot when-

You're running against a guy named "Jerry Lewis" and this is the best you can do. Come ON, there's a ton of untapped material here!

Since nothing is beneath Pearce, this might be considered the bush league version of Nixon's notorious dirty tricks man Donald Segretti, the political operative with Nixon's CREEP committee (Committee to Re-elect the President) in the early '70's...now playing in Mesa Arizona, legislative district 18.     Vicious dirty tricks "played" on democratic presidential contenders which they dubbed "ratfucking" to keep the president in power.  Segretti was ultimately sentenced to six months in prison, and his "work" was entangled in the Watergate matter as well.   Same mentality, smaller stage.  Learn more by Googling Donald Segretti.

Thank you Stephen for bringing this kind of political garbage out in the open for all to see just how far Russell Pearce and his "puppets" will go to discredit anyone with the guts to stand up to them.  Pearce has had great success as a bully down at the State Capitol but it's time the good people of district 18 stand up and say "enough"!  You're bullying tactics just won't fly here in Mesa and we are wise enough to see the truth through all your lies and deception.  Every time you pull a "stunt" like this you add further proof that you truly are the "bully" we always thought you were.

So many outside folks willing to give money and conduct dirty operations to make sure Pearce keeps his Senate seat.  Do you suppose all these outsiders have the best interests of the people of LD18 at heart?

Joseph Goebels, Propaganda minister of the German Nazi party is quoted as saying that "The truth is the best best sword in promoting your program but if the truth is not on your side, a big lie is just as good."  I see that Russell Pearce's supporters are good followers of Mr. Goebels.

What is it Pearce and his slimeball followers don't understand about identity theft being a crime ?

Remember that ridiculous arrest by Arpaio because he said the guy was impersonating a law officer?

I don't think it would be difficult to find out who opened this fake twitter account. And then arrest them for impersonating Jerry. I do believe it is an arrestable offense.

These, and many future actions by Pearce, are exactly why the recall was effective, for the first time in state history.

The personality called pearce just isn't capable of comprehending their is a 'gentleman's' way of doing things. But, I guess if one is known to beat his wife, he wouldn't be a gentleman...

pearce has been fired from the last three government jobs he's held.

There must be a reason.

I can understand that some people would like to think well of Russell since they probably had a couple minutes  to speak to him.  I have heard him several times speak about how he is not this and not that.  People really need to consider if they are willing to be that gullible.  My Dad always taught me if it barks like a dog, acts like a dog and hangs out with dogs then it IS a dog.  Russell is exactly what his actions represent.  A man that secretly agrees with people like J.T. Ready.  His quotes are copy and pasted from known Racist organizations and people.  How do you think he got them?  He reads their propaganda regularly and even forwarded one "by accident".  If you want to be gullible then keep thinking he is a sincere guy.  I will not put my brain away to believe his lies.

Jerry Lewis should lodge a formal complaint with Twitter and if this qualifies as a crime, with the police. Unless it was hackers who knew what they where doing, I'm sure they left foot prints that can be traced back to an IP address.

Doesn't this qualify as identity theft?

Several items in the fake Twitter smear-list match up almost verbatim to ones privately delivered by Pearce's supporters, so we know it is someone in that circle, or who at least gets info from that circle.  Is it Matt Tolman, starting DB on Team Russell?  Who knows?  They are only hurting Russell Pearce, who most likely isn't even aware of most of these antics.  Russell Pearce is actually a decent guy, who genuinely (if misguidedly) cares about our country, but a knock against him is that he surrounds himself with nutjobs who embarrass him, or he supports losers like Andrew Thomas.  This fake Twitter thing is a perfect example.  Tell your supporters to grow up and help run a clean campaign, Russell.

Just the beginning of what, undoubtedly will be a continuous smear campaign against Lewis. I think the voters of LD18 are much more intelligent than what the RuSSell KKK Pearce camp gives them credit for. This is the best his supporters can come up with? The clock is ticking for RuSSell KKKriminal Pearce.

I think that's wishful thinking from your end. Using the name of someone else(non-LE entity) in a social networking site is not the same as  "impersonating a law officer" in public places. I think this is nothing more of a defamation and libel associated with ugly campaigning from pearce's camp.

I seriously hope Jerry Lewis sues pearce for defamation and libel of his good name.

In view of what political dirty tricks man Donald Segretti did 40 years ago and was prosecuted for, I think Jerry Lewis has a case.

Uh...hello...Nathan Sproul lost the election by adopting lowbrow, dirty tactics and making a personal attack that brought Pearce's wife into it.  Voters were turned off, and Gibbons lost.  Whoever wins needs to rise above that.  Flame-throwing posters here just feed the illusion that Pearce wants to create, that it's the crazy far left who is against him, when thousands and thousands of Republicans want to vote him out as well.

Der Fuhrer was a swell guy, just Like Russel Pearce. Don't take my word, just ask JT Ready. You just have to get past that whole genocidal psychopath thing and see the human side.

OK, that's horseshit. Hitler had no human side, and neither does Pearce.

Sorry guys, but I know him and his family personally, and he is a sincere guy, and isn't all you say he is.  I am against the politics of personal destruction and over-the-top hyperbole.  The point I'm making is that he (unwittingly?) represents some bad causes and thuggish people, and carries the banner on a couple of misguided efforts, and for those reasons we should vote for someone else, IF they are better.  If those fighting against him just replace Senator Pearce with a different flavor of thuggishness, what have we gained?

Bnbk

I agree with your comments except for the "Russell Pearce is a decent guy" statement. A decent guy does not beat his wife, take bribes, hang out with Neo-Nazis & on & on & on.Pearce is more like a decent criminal,so far he has gotten away without serving any prison time.

Vic
Vic

I'm sorry but the statement, "Russell Pearce is actually a decent guy" is revolting to mebecause I do not consider that associating with neonatzi and other hate groups as decent.  It is not decent to be violent toward your wife or bully others, either. He is amean spirted little guy who has lost two of his former positions due to his dishonesty. How is that decent?

Donald Segretti was not a law enforcement entity, nor were his victims who held high political office.  Segretti was prosecuted and sentenced to six months in prison.

We know that... but Nathan Sproul smeared so much mud it was funny amazing funny.  I was referring to the slime being thrown around - and it was an IE not Gibbons who threw the mud.

I don't see how you can square "decent guy" with the fake letter he got Lori Klein to read during a session of our state Senate.  Unvetted fake letter.  Even if were genuine, the fact that he got Lori Klein to read such an inflammatory piece of work unvetted is really inexcusable.

Also, it's bad for the state.  You can't expect to work with people, to have their trust, respect and willingness to cooperate, when you pull such tricks.

Then there's Pearce's statement to the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce on May 7 of this year about what would happen if workers made public demonstrations like those in Wisconsin:  "I've spoken with the sheriff, and he has some nice buses that hold a lot of people. We've also got some tents with a view."

How can any American threaten to jail a group of fellow Americans for expressing their First Amendment right "peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Suggesting a police crackdown before a rally has even occurred is the intimidation of a police state.

That's not only not decent, it's un-American.  Pearce should be recalled for that one piece of un-American rhetoric.

There's the absurd name calling directed at the people involved in the recall.  The Twitter thing is the very least of it.  A decent person doesn't descend into ridiculous name calling, like "open borders anarchists," "socialist thugs," "leftist outsiders," etc.  These words don't come from some anonymous poster on a blog, or some way out supporter who won't be controlled, but by the man, Pearce, himself.

Decent people don't inflame tensions with unvetted letters, threaten jail for petitioners, name call, and on and on.

Pearce may be decent, but his actions and words aren't. What else is there to be concerned with a public figure.

I absolutely agree that those opposed to Pearce should not descend to his level, but should keep their eyes, ears and voices on the real issues.  But that doesn't extend to calling his a decent guy.

Jason
Jason

Then you know Pearce's history of getting fired from every job he has ever had.

Let's review Pearce's resume, shall we?

MCSO Chief Deputy: FIRED by the Flaccid FoolMVD head: FIRED by Governor Jane HullState Senator: FIRED by the voters

Pearce's associations:

The Flaccid Fool of MCSO: A mentally ill corrupt old man.JT Ready: A purported neo-Nazi

Is this the kind of guy you want representing your interests in the Legislature?

How sincere James..? Sincere enough to admit he took bribes from the infamous ..'tow truck'.. company in Mesa.? How about ..'sincere'.. enough to admit he was found to be a crooked employee of the MVD, enough so btw, that he got fired..? Or maybe 'sincere' enough to admit he and Neo Nazi JT Ready not only ..'took pictures'.. together..? He also sponsored him in his LDS church and anointed him into his faith, as well as ..'cracked jokes about Mexicans'.. under Pearce's own porch.along with JT.Ready..?Sincere James..? Or are you just another Pearce hob nobbing--pencil headed ..dolt..?

James make sure to tell that to those who are affected by his attacks to-- Education, Medicare, AHCCCS, the Unemployed, and the entire Hispanic Community.................Fuckwit..

Your comments don't make any sense !  Against the politics of personal destruction & over the top hyperbole? Oh,you mean the personal destruction & over the top hyperbole that RuSSel KKK. Pearce loves to practice. (unwitingly) represents some bad causes & thuggish people.NO,you are wrong. RuSSell KKK. I should also say before anyone misunderstands:  Only a small, noisy, portion of those supporting Russell Pearce qualify as "thugs."  He should actively discourage their behavior.

Excellent post, Bobunf.  I hope James ponders over it and grasps the severity of the problem.  Pearce is a thinking individual.  And as you say, these are the expressed thoughts and actions of Pearce himself.  The letter given to Klein to read publicly and the name calling are results of his premeditated thinking. (He must lie awake nights dreaming up all the labels he can muster to "identify" his adversaries.)

While his unconscionable remark to the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce might have been impulsive, it is indicative of a frightening power-driven police state mentality and mindset counter to one of our country's fundamental First Amendment rights, which IS downright un-American.  It's not as if Russell Pearce is some 19 year old kid, still forming his value system of principles and beliefs.  He's already there.  His "values" have been displayed by his undesirable autocratic public behavior, his words and actions,  and at his age, it's unlikely that he will change.
