Chinga La Migra Hacks Arizona Law Enforcement for Third Unprecedented Time

What "Chinga La Migra" calls "Fraternal Ownage of Police"

Arizona law enforcement cannot be sleeping well tonight, with the keyboard anarchists of "Chinga La Migra" ("Fuck the Border Patrol," in English) claiming yet another hack with a corresponding data dump of local cops' personal info.

I only say "claiming" because I'm still accessing the torrent. (Hey, I never said I was Julian Assange.) However, the CLMers (or "AntiSec," or whatever they're calling themselves for the moment) have issued a press released stating that the information is from various chapters of the Fraternal Order of Police around the state.

The site for the Mesa FOP is currently down, and so is Tucson FOP. Also, the FOP Maricopa Lodge 5's home page has been defaced with the CLM press release in red on a black background, and a video of Public Enemy's "Hazy Shade of Criminal" embedded there to boot.

CLM's release reads, in part:

For the third knockout blow against Arizona law enforcement, we decided to get destructive. We're defacing eight AZ Fraternal Order of Police websites and releasing a master list of over 1200 officer's usernames, passwords, and email addresses. Additionally we are leaking hundreds of private FOP documents and several more mail spools belonging to FOP presidents, vice presidents, secretaries, a police chief, and the FOP Labor Council executive directory and webmaster whose insecure web development skills was responsible for this whole mess. We're doing this not only because we are opposed to SB1070 and the racist Arizona police state, but because we want a world free from police, prisons and politicians altogether.

As the release notes, this latest hack-attack is the third in two weeks culling info from Arizona LEOs. The first two hit the Arizona Department of Public Safety, which has got to be glad CLM left them alone for a change.

I have to admit that CLM's success to date has been both impressive and frightening, which is likely the effect it's going for. When the cops can't protect their personal stuff on the Internet, it makes you wonder if anyone can.

Thing is, CLM's aim is scatter-shot and indiscriminate, as there are far worse police organizations in state to pick on than AZ DPS or the FOP. I mean, the FOP is no PLEA (Phoenix Law Enforcement Association), for instance. Everyone in this state knows that PLEA is an outright nativist, anti-Hispanic police union. By contrast, the FOP has a pretty good reputation.

Similarly, DPS is no Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, with Hispanic-hunter Joe Arpaio as the jefe. My guess is that the hackers are either outside the state and don't know the players involved, or they don't really care. The second being the most likely.

Of course, I'm not suggesting anyone hack anyone. Nor can I or would I condone such outrageous criminal activity. (Though I'll read the files, natch.) It's just that matching up CLM's anti-1070 rhetoric with its actions is a little difficult given its current targets. What's the point of going after cops who may just be doing their jobs?

Political Apocolypse just starting up.  Much like the NewTimes has done with exposing the Sheriff What-a-ham for the ass that he is.  Every corrupt sleezy politician will not be able to fart in a hurricane without somebody sniffing it out.   There are soundbytes, videobytes and databytes floating in Cyberspace everything is recorded.

Gotta love these guys! I hope they don't hack Maricopa County Sheriff, Pinal County Sheriff, Pima Country Sheriff as it would be illegal and it would take so much time to go through the files hidden on those servers. I'm still wading through the DPS files.

And hope they don't try to hack the El Paso sector of the Border Patrol, nor the Nogales sector as it would be outrageous for us to learn the identities of the officers involved in the murders of migrants along the border.

-At http://www.azdps.gov/Media/New...

In addition to contacting other law enforcement agencies, the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center (ACTIC) has been activated.

-So they're using counter-terrorism resources, but

http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/...

Officers have said the public's safety is not being compromised over the hackers' attacks.

-It's terrorism, but nobody is in danger?

-Maybe it's this http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/dp...

In one of those chats, a DPS officer and a friend talk about getting cocaine for a trip to Vegas.

Officer: I will call my contacts..... Oh well they are all sold out.Friend: You have more contacts then I do! Bummer.Officer: I was a drug cop of course I do. I also know where to get stuff on the black market.Friend: well then get working skippie!!

-Aren't the police the ones who say "If you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't be afraid of being searched."

-Read some of the Obama 'jokes' and comments, and know why I'd be afraid to drive around with an Obama bumper sticker in The Land of the Free*.

They're likely hacking what they can and then claiming it was their plan all along. I mean the FOP, really? How lame. I imagine if they could have hacked a major agency they would have rather then a non-profit organization.

I like how they call this "Chinga La Migra" but have yet to target the US Border Patrol. Is it because the USBP is a DHS entity and has a much higher level of network security than a state agency and a group like the FOP?

Given the racist chain e-mails that pop-up over and over again when these documents are released, I have to ask-

Do the DPS, FOP etc have computer usage policies that prohibit sending and receiving racist, bigoted e-mails. Most state agencies do. And if the FOP, DPS etc have such policies, some of these officers may have some explaining to do.

Too bad they don't bring their motto, Fuck the border patrol to Mexico, while their on vacation.  And while their at it, they can tell the Mexican police "we want a Mexico free of police, politicians, and open borders. "Hello Mom, can you bail me out of this rat hole? The Mexican police say I'm spending 10 years in here. We just want to get back OVER THE "BORDER."

It seems antisec is politically naive and lashing out at whoever is easiest to get to but considering probably 90% of Arzinians are naive, shuriff joe getting reelected again being evidence of this, and the lashing out at the easiest targets not being any different than bozo joe wasting time on the illegally employed rather than hunting down the tens of thoudands of felons and sex offenders dodging warrants. Perhaps both should pull their heads out of their nether orifices and get a clue and do what is right for a change.

So, breaking the law is OK when it is something you agree with?  But only for you, not for anyone else?

Not a fan of 1070, but not a fan of breaking laws, or encouragement thereof.

Hope they bust these little punks.

Yes, I'm sure there are policies.  But do you really think they have someone sitting there checking?

When you come to Mexico, behave yourself, don't act like your shit don't stink, and you wouldn't have to worry about Mexican police or jails. Worked for me for over 30 years!

As history has taught us, the masses are willing to ignore things as long as it doesn't affect them directly, regardless of what bad things are happening "behind the scenes."  By the time they are affected, it's too late and the ones in power have too much of it.  So you're probably just saying that because injustice hasn't stretched its dark shadow over you yet.  I for one have noticed the bad/corruption, and I'm very... VERY happy that they're rattling some cages.

#antisec ftw!!!

Uh, that's GOOD advice Mr. Corn. Perhaps you could translate it into Spanish, for all the illegal aliens that have broken into this nation and robbed, raped, killed, and committed other types of mayhem against Americans. But then again, I guess it's Mexico's society that your'e concerned about.
