Salvador Reza Arrested at Arizona State Senate

Reza, in a picture from his false arrest last year by the sheriff's office

Welcome to Muammar Gaddafi's Libya. Details are sketchy, but civil rights activists Salvador Reza and Anayanse Garza of the group Puente were arrested inside the Arizona state Senate building today, apparently for the bogus charge of trespassing.

I say "apparently" because neither the Capitol Police, nor Arizona DPS Security Attache J. Gentry Burton, who was on duty today doing security work, would tell me anything when I arrived after hearing about this police state idiocy.

A call to the Arizona Department of Administration, which usually speaks for the Capitol Police, was not returned. And DPS was similarly mum.

However, sources tell me Reza and Garza went to the state Senate today to pick up forms related to having a demonstration on the Capitol grounds. Reza was informed that he was banned from the Senate building and told to leave.

Reza, according to these sources, asked to see some documentation, something in writing. Garza and Reza were then arrested and taken to the MCSO's Fourth Avenue Jail for processing. They'll likely not be out until late tonight.

The scuttlebutt is that the Capitol Police and state Senate President Russell Pearce were unhappy with the overflow crowds that attended Tuesday's marathon Appropriations Committee hearing. That's the one in which Pearce's monster anti-immigration SB 1611 omnibus was heard.

I find this particularly cracked, as I was there in the evening. The crowd was confined to a large room where they watched the proceedings via TV. The activists were peaceful and in good spirits, even though they were not allowed into the room where the hearing was actually taking place.

(Another source informed me that Reza had been warned not to return Tuesday night. I do not know if this is true. Even if he had been, there would have been no reason for such an order.)

Radio host Carlos Galindo was cited and banned from the state Senate building earlier Tuesday, after he and other activists protested a press conference being given in the building by Democratic state Senator Kyrsten Sinema. Four people were arrested.

But Galindo, who was outside the state Senate building today, told me they were cited and released, and not transported to Fourth Avenue.

This is, obviously, retribution. And I'm sure Pearce is chuckling about it right now. During Tuesday's hearing, Democratic Senator Olivia Cajero Bedford referred to Pearce as a "dictator." He may have just proved her right.

(Note: Reza has been arrested for civil disobedience in the past, and in retribution for his protests of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. I'll update this blog when he gets out and I get more info.)

Although our own government seems to ifnore the fact that these two oieces of scum are disrupting the orderly operation of our form of democracy. They promote the cause of invaders that don't belong here, who have invaded our sovereign borders illlegally making them technically criminals, and are having a serious impact on our troubling financial problems. In my view, these two are strictly anti-american.

It seems to me that the authorities are trying to function stat;s business and are trying to keep the peace in the face of these two aaaaaaanti-american deonstrators. They are apparently attempting to justify invading scum who, technically, are federal criminals by breaking our own sovereignty birder laws by refusing to get in line with others wanting to redise here.

Dear Salvador Reza,

Soon we'll be taking y'all down at the border.. no need to wait til you move in next door!

I have the terrible misfortune of being related to Mister Reza and I get sick when I see people in the media make him out to be some kind of hero. Salvador Reza is a pedophile and he belongs in prison for the rest of his life for the things he did to my nephews. I hope for the safety of all children that he stays locked up for a long, long time!

Pretty ridiculous, but if he was wrongfully arrested it will be but another piece of evidence to Pearce's abuse of power. Hopefully the facts will come to light soon.

I find the comparison to Libya, where thousands are being murdered by state security, to be in very bad taste.

Apparently Arizona State law don't apply to you if you are a Mexican activist in this state. If he was told not to return because he is disruptive to the daily business of the state--then don't return. Simple enough. If the man were to act civilized when protesting and converse like an adult, instead of the same out worn out screamfest maybe he would be welcome at the State Senate. I think I will show up at the Phx.New Times office and dissrupt their daily business like Mr. Razist. Any takers how quick I would be ask to leave by threat of Arrest!

Give it a try, I have a feeling your pictures would end up in the cartoon section of the New Times.

Why arrest you when it would be more fun to show the world your stupidity.

From what I read abou the situation in the Arizona Republic and the EV Tribune, Mr. Reza was at the state Senate to speak to his legislator, Senator Steve Gallardo.

However, it appears that Arizona's dangerous and mentally unstable Senate President tore pages right out of the Flaccid Fool and Candy Ass Thomas' playbooks when it comes to false arrest, bogus charges and abuse of power.

I wonder if the federal grand jury looking into abuse of power by the MCSO shurf & Co. will expand their inquiry to include Pearce... Hmmm.....

Apparently, Republinuts need leadership so badly that Donald Trump is considering a run for U.S. President. That's a man I would vote for.

And then there's this..."State Sen. Bundgaard involved in domestic-violence incident"

Don't we all want immunity! This is why so many of these elected officials conduct themselves with such arrogance -- they are immune. Anyone else would be sitting in arpaio's jail and thrown into the criminal justice system AND prison time. This whole situation with abuse of power in Arizona is very disturbing! One set of laws for the ordinary person and immunity for the elected officials! It's time to even the playing field, the scales of justice are tipped against the ordinary individual.

Domestic violence in Arizona qualifies you to be Senate President, right Pearce?

Not getting arrested because the legislature is in session qualifies you to be governor, right Jan?

If I recall correct they are only immune from 'immediate' arrest and prosecution. The intent of the law is to keep other politicians from having an arrest made on an opposing politician so they will miss a vote or action of some sort. The county or state attorney can still prosecute at a later date when congress is NOT in session, if they so choose.

Such as may have happened some twenty or more years ago when Mrs. Brewer crashed her vehicle into another and was thought to be DUI. She was released without charges at the time and neither DPS or the state attorney general chose to pursue charges. I believe she was a state representative at the time and congress was in session, thus the law seems to have applied.

Our gutsy Class West Associates, with "ASU For liberty" in the lead at Gerric7@gmail.com, are slamming out release all over the Globe. They are supplementing the local crimes with stunning allegations that Senator Pearce may be connected to overseas slush fund accounts. Brad from "ASU FOR LIBERTY" said bluntly in an E-mail sent directly to Senator Pearce and the Press, "We'll get that fuckin' money back for America, and Pearce and Arpaio will get PRSION CELLS."

Please see http://www.azcentral.com/news/... Regarding this message, HOUSE SPEAKER JOHN BOEHNER (SpeakerBoehner@mail.house.gov) is one of the many corrupt AMERICAN OFFICIALS who is/are laundering milions/billions of dollars in VATICAN BANK and other "slush funds." He's getting a copy of this and won't respond. We have gotten word that corrupt ARIZONA STATE SENATOR RUSSELL "1070" PEARCE and his cronies are further victimizingARIZONA residents with costly, frivolous, malicious, and unconstitutional state anti-immigration legislation designed as a "ruse" to make it appear that they are protecting AMERICA. These laws are clearly designed to harass and badger the "little guys/gals," while ignoring the drophouse and crime property owners, and the many employers of slave labor in ARIZONA. PEARCE also has ulterior motives, because he was reportedly shot by a Mexican national in the past. Please confirm. PEARCE, ARPAIO, BREWER, and many others in ARIZONA and NATIONWIDE are criminally-complicit in the theft and cover-up of the WANTAGATE THEFT OF TRILLIONS, now being exposed globally at http://wantagate.blogspot.com . PEARCE, ARPAIO, BREWER, and their corrupt thugs appear to be doing the bidding of alcoholic billionaire RICHARD MELLON SCAIFE, a criminally-corrupt PENNSYLVANIA newspaper mogul who also is conspiring with www.JudicialWatch.org "President" TOM FITTON at tfitton@judicalwatch.org . Obviously these lowlives are also taking orders from CIA MURDERER and THIEF GEORGE BUSH, SENIOR. WANTAGATE thief SARAH PALIN is also working behind the scenes in ARIZONA, and now is using her daughter BRISTOL as a front line "soldier" in the desert, where BRISTOL recently purchased a foreclosed home. SARAH PALIN also recently exerted undue influence on a local Phoenix FM radio station in an attempt to get the thoroughly unqualified BRISTOL hired as a "disc jockey" or "talk show" host. Please, we've been tortured enough. These losers are ACTIVELY committing MISPRISION OF FELONY and MISPRISION OF TREASON by covering up SOETORO/OBAMA and GEORGE BUSH, SENIOR's conspiracy against AMERICA as described in the attached HODGES LETTER. They are also complicit in the ongoing global theft, concealment, laundering, and reinvestment of the TRILLIONS IN YOUR GLOBAL SETTLEMENT FUNDS that belong to "We The People." We ask that you consider these matters and invoke whatever international, federal, and local resources and intelligence you have to arrest and prosecute JAN BREWER, RUSSELL PEARCE, JOE ARPAIO, and many other corrupt ARIZONA politicos who threaten AMERICA. The DANIEL DAL BOSCO and VATICAN BANK RICO indictment and associated lawsuit may incriminate many AMERICAN and FOREIGN officials and businesspeople in the WANTAGATE crimes. Legal action has been commenced in ROME and we are regularly sending information and evidence to the INTERNATIONAL COURT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROSECUTERS at THE HAGUE. . Thank you for your assistance. Reza and Pearce, among others, are just different sides of the same extremist mentality. Reza is an open borders give everything away free to everybody nut case. Pearce is a closed borders with landmines and machine gun emplacements nut case. They both have their nut case fellow travelers.

This is the sorry state of affairs we find our selves in. Nothing but insane people on both sides, reacting with fear and anger and outrage dredged out of their personal mirror image of the opposition's insanity.

I've no sympathy for either side's collection of "Leaders". Neither serves the interests of this State, this Republic or their own demographic.

Why was Reza asked to leave a PUBLIC BUILDING (that he helps pay the rent on, as Brewer and Pearce sold it off to "balance the budget"), for doing nothing more than walking into the building?

No, not his fault that his paents brouight him here illegally but apparently that didn't teach him a lesson to respect our laws now that he is a citizen. He is running an iilegal aliens job ring on his property. Why did you ignore that part of my post? Not to mention that he considers illegal aliens to be his brothers and sisters. I thought Americans were his brothers and sisters now that he is a citizen.

We Americans shouldn't be brothers and sisters with illegal aliens. They had no respect for our immigration laws. In Reza's case he puts his ethnic kind above the rule of law in this country. As I said, do we really need to make citizens out of more of those with that tribal, ethnocentric mindset?

This is the man being defended in here?

A stocky man with a long gray moustache and hair in a ponytail, Reza gets up early in the morning to open the chain-link gates of the Macehualli Day Labor Center in north Phoenix. A group of mostly men come in and sit at shaded tables until prospective employers arrive. Reza then helps match the job to the worker — landscaper, housecleaner, construction worker. It doesn't matter to him if the workers are in the country ILLEGALLY. (aiding and abetting illegal aliens is against the law and so is hiring them)

"To me, the people that everyone calls ILLEGAL ALIENS ARE MY BROTHERS, they're my sisters, they're my cousins," Reza says. (This from a U.S. citizen now?)

Reza came to the U.S. from Mexico, crossing ILLEGALLY as a child with his parents in 1961.

From what I've read this incident seems very much like the one when Randy Parraz was falsely arrest by MCSO for standing on a public street and then having the audacity to ask, "why?", when the MCSO goons told him he was trespassing. Those charges, of course, were dismissed during trial and Mr. Parraz now has civil litigation in process.

WHY aren't these dumbass law enforcement people getting the message that THEY are supposed to follow the very laws they are charged with enforcing?

HOW MUCH MORE money will have to be paid to victims before our local, county, state, and federal enforcers stop violating personal rights of citizens?

This state is SUCH AN EMBARRASSMENT to professional law enforcement...
