Russell Pearce's "Psycho Talk" on AHCCCS

Schultz rips Pearce for his crazy talk on Brahm Resnik's Sunday Square-Off

Just another reminder of what the local Republinuts -- led by neo-Nazi-huggin' state Senate President-elect Russell Pearce -- have in mind for you one million-plus folks down on your luck, or those about to be in this economy: No Medicaid.

Pearce wants to cut it drastically, comparing it to a trip to Dillard's for a spending spree. As a result, the state will be kissing $7 billion in federal funding bye-bye.

MSNBC commentator Ed Schultz is right, it is psycho talk. And for at least the next two years (and probably the next four), with the state legislature solidly in the hands of wackjob right-wingers, psycho talk will be as common in Sand Land as prickly pears, snow birds, and bigots.

Does anybody else have the feeling that, as a citizen and resident of AZ, I am riding along with a suicide bomber and I can't get out of the truck?

After watching the video of Pearce, all I can say is what a dumb ass he really is...the only things dumber than Pearce is Brewer and the morons that voted for this whack job.

Good luck Arizona, you're going to need all you can get with leaders like this driving the state into the ground.

Pearce is a dangerous man to freedom and anything else held of value to normal people not living off the backs of the tax payers, as this blood sucking lying piece of shit does.

I am sure that Pearce is a renegade to the church. I don't agree with the LDS church in general, but their values and the way they expect their membership to comport themselves is not bad at all. Pearce is clearly going against his church on a number of issues.

But with Pearce getting reelected this month, how does the mormon membership feel about Pearce vs. the church?

Coz

They should feel pretty embarrassed is how they should feel.

If anyone ever wondered what the face of evil looked like, it's in the above video on the left.

Seriously though, if the Mormon Church wants to clean up its image it would denounce this guy as fast as humanly possible. As wacked out as that church is, they do seem to have some compassion towards immigrants and the poor. Now black people, on the other hand...

How does Pearce reconcile his, and the pro 1070/anti illegal crowd, claims that Illegals drain funds through use of "free" medical services with this bit of legislative genius?

Really a one party state, Republicant dictatorship. With less brains than the Third Reich.

Republicant Death Panels, but only for poor brown people. To purify the Real Arizona.

The simple tax revenues of $7B coming into the state more than offsets what we save by cutting the states contributions to Medicaid. I know that a lot of medical care is not taxed, but the income of those providing it is certainly taxed as are plenty other aspects of medical care.

Take $7B out of our economy and expect things to not get worse. That works out to about 18% of the people in our state losing health coverage. Now we have a much worse problem with people going to the emergency room because they have no other way to get care....Don't forget, the hospitals and Dr's won't get paid and those costs will be passed on to us that can pay through increased costs resulting in higher insurance costs, etc. Of course many will just do without. How many hospitals will close because they are not needed with $7B in medical care not in our economy? What willl that do to neighborhoods that are largely health care. Consider unemployment with such an economic impact. How much in income tax do the unemployed pay? Don't forget, that $7B is an annual number, not a one time thing.

We can't wait to trip all over ourselves to build a half billion dollar stadium because of the $300M economic impact. Even in this economy, Russell's town voted to spend to keep the Cubs for spring training.

Bottom line: Taking $7B out of our economy will impact our state revenue far more than the state's contribution to Medicaid. It is a lose-lose-lose proposition.

Question is: What is Pearce's real motivation? Does he want to rid the state of poor people, legal hispanics? Does he want to put this up on the chopping block knowing that it will never be cut expecting to take another $350M a year from education, convincing people that they have to cut education to save AHCCCS and the $7B in federal money? Is this his way of forcing the state to move against Obama's health plan? Will he institute a Neo-Nazi Health Plan? Far-fetched, I know...but when has Russell Pearce been rational?

Tommy makes an very valid point that Pearce is far more dangerous than Arpaio.

Our idiot Sheriff is dangerous because he has been enabled by the BoS, Andrew Thomas, Russell Pearce, and his budget among other things. Arpaio has been about half-neutered lately and his effectiveness is going to diminish as the other half of the job is slowly completed.

In contract, Pearce has the state by the nads. He is our moral compass, our budget czar, our thought process, our leader, our racist in chief, our deporter in chief, and a host of other state jobs. Don't forget that he is the keeper of all state statistics (who better than the guy that dreamed them up?).

Pearce is also a whacko that should not be trusted with anything. Here in AZ, it will take 10 years of Pearce before people wake up and realize that it not all these terrible evil outside influences hurting the state. It is Pearce.

If people in AZ could just take one hour to review what this nutjob stands for, how he thinks, who he supports, who supports him they would toss him to the curb immediately. But as Lisa Allen says in so many words: Voters in AZ are not intelligent.

Great post. It is estimated that 42,000 jobs will be lost in healthcare. Economies are built on growth. 42,000 healthcare workers AND their families will leave this state because there is going to be massive growth in other states as a result of healthcare reform.

And how about the issue of disease? One million people sick because they can't get access to healthcare. That will affect every single one of us.

And for those who have health insurance? That little heart attack may be fatal because of 8 and 10 hour waits at emergency rooms to get behind all the people Russel Pearce plans on dumping there.

If you don't want to support the Republicans, you can always support American Third Position. A3P is a political party that promotes the interests of white people. Here is a link describing the efforts to start a party in Arizona:

That's great, Ralphyboy, what Arizona needs is a racist alternative to Russel Pearce and Jan Brewer.

Please, do us all a favor, and rape your own ass with a long sharp stick.

Stephen, Thanks for informing the public and giving people a place to comment. The chaos this legislature is going to create for Arizona is certainly going to be a deterrent for tourists, new business and families. Who in their right mind would come into this mess?

Russell Pearce is a pathetic excuse for a human being, and given his own employment history of being fully supported by taxpayers -- through salaries, health care and perks -- is the world's worst hypocrite. How I'd love for the details of his own monetary state of affairs and health care benefits to be researched, investigated, and for him to be queried about same.

In an extensive Republic article about Pearce in June 2010 he said he springs from "a poverty stricken childhood." If it was during his childhood where he learned his warped value system, that "might makes right," that you are either the "oppressed" or the "oppressor"( nothing in between) -- and it's better to be the oppressor ANY way you can get by with....then yes. His childhood certainly was "poverty stricken."

Good, less government for the people that don't want it anyway, it's about time all those old/disabled folks stop their commie ways. I'm sure they hated the government influencing an aspect of their lives anyway.

Tea Partier(s), I hope you stick to your "we don't want no socialist government" rhetoric, if you start complaining the government is taking away your government assistance, well it will be a bit hypocritical don't you think?

.. and you'll always be paying taxes :)

I say we follow the lead...let's remove security for Russell, Jan and Joe, no doubt that will save a good chunk of money...after all, they'll probably be ok.

This from a man who has never spent a day in his life not attached to the government teet. His paychecks and health care benefits have always been paid for 100% by one government agency or another. Hypocrite.

Arizona has a huge population of seniors who qualify for dual enrollment. They get both Medicare and Medicaid because their income is below the poverty level and they simply cannot afford shelter, food AND medications and co-pays for doctor's visits. If this means they are booted off AHCCCS, as well, this is criminal. Shame, shame, shame on the political right.

And please don't respond that their families can take care of them. Many people never had the opportunity to have children or they have outlived their children and other family members. We have many seniors who are alone and living in poverty.

This is how the chaos starts. But unfortunately, people like Pearce who help create these chaotic situations rarely feel the brunt of the disorder they create. Instead, people look for a scapegoat group to take their anger out on and Pearce has handily created the 'brown menace' as the problem.

Are we as smart as the French who knew whose heads to look for and realized who was at fault? I don't think we are based upon the popularity of fools like him.

Pearce mumbled when asked about the FACT that thousands of health care workers would lose their jobs without the $7b in federal money. The clown doesn't have a clue, and now seems to be the puppet master behind "No Plan Jan".

Pearce is far more dangerous than the simpleton county shurf we are dealing with now. Folks need to understand what a whack job this guy is.

I find it interesting that this guy who has sucked from the government teat all his adult life, and has at least two government retirement plans, and paid medical benefits, is trying to take away medicaid from those who don't have his plans, having worked in private industry instead of government.
