Don't laugh, but neo-Nazi-huggin' state Senate President-elect Russell Pearce is denouncing the neo-Nazis.

Talk about man bites dog.

Seems Pearce told KPHO that the National Socialist Movement members coming to Phoenix for an anti-illegal immigrant bash at the Sandra Day O'Connor U.S. Courthouse this Saturday should take a hike.

"These hate-based groups are not welcome," spat the biggest hatemonger in the state. "They don't speak for those of us fighting the tremendous costs of illegal aliens. Groups like this one detract from the serious discussions we have every day on how to address this issue."

Okay, now you can laugh. After all, Pearce was the primary pusher of SB 1070, as well as the sponsor of a host of whacked-out Nuremberg-type laws that have yet to make it on the books. 

And in the upcoming session of the legislature, he wants to rip birth certificates out of the tiny hands of American citizen babies born to those in the country illegally.

Pearce always likes to say, "Illegal's not a race, it's a crime." But according to him, illegality is a status that's inherited. One that children get from their parents. Like a congenital disease. How, um, eugenical.

That aside, Pearce has had connections over the years to white supremacists, neo-Nazis, bigots, extremists, and insane, Mexican-bashing nativists.

Take for example his association with Valley neo-Nazi J.T. Ready. The infamous photo above is of Pearce and Ready at nativist rally at the state Capitol in June of 2007. Pearce has tried to pooh-pooh his ties to Ready, and has said that the photo was just one of many he takes with folks.

But I watched Pearce and Ready work the crowd together at that event. And as Ready gave a frighteningly effective speech that outlined a fascist takeover of America, Pearce applauded at the sidelines. The rally was also attended by members of the White Knights of America, a racist organization based in Tonopah.

The Arizona ADL's Bill Straus warned Pearce of Ready's white supremacy in 2006, according to a Republic sidebar to a recent, gushing bio of Pearce. Also, the ADL held a forum at the state House in March of 2007 that outed Ready, and in April of 2007, I had written of Ready's page on Newsaxon.org, "an online community for whites, by whites," where Ready engaged in anti-Semitic scribblings.

So Ready was a known quantity by the early part of 2007, but Pearce buddied-up with him publicly in June of 2007. It wasn't until August of 2008 that Pearce was finally forced to denounce Ready, as he battled to win a GOP primary for state Senate. 

A disappointed Ready later told me that Pearce "was like a father figure to me."

Add to this, Pearce's advocacy for a return to "Operation Wetback," the fact that he forwarded an anti-Semitic screed authored by the neo-Nazi National Alliance to supporters in 2006, his association with hateful nativist groups, and on and on. 

As for Pearce's various ethnic cleansing proposals, he and the neo-Nazis obviously hold similar views on immigration.

That's why the neo-Nazis, for all their faults, are essentially more honest than Pearce. The NSMers who'll be goosestepping Saturday, are not hesitant to tell you they want an America where only those of "pure white blood" can be citizens.

Pearce's goals dovetail with those of these Schutzstaffel-wannabes, but Pearce hides his bigotry in a cloak of Americanism and an attack on illegal aliens, almost all of whom just happen to be brown. He's far worse, far more dangerous than the knuckleheads in the National Socialist Movement. 

Instead of protesting those clowns, the anti-Nazi crowd should be dogging Pearce with demonstrations, whenever and wherever he appears in public.

SB1070 does not need to have language that is free of racist intent or profiling; by it's very nature and intent, in this state, it demands racial profiling. Screaming racial profiling where it doesn't exist is indeed putting one's own ethnic kind above the law because the screaming is to protect their ethnic illegals.

SB1070 does not demand racial profiling. In fact it prohibits it! Under the law one can only be stopped for violating a law, not skin color. Regardless of who is stopped as long as they have valid ID there are no further questions about status in this country. What part of that aren't the ethnocentrics getting? Just admit it, the objection to the law is based on protecting ones own illegal ethnic kind from the law.

SB1070 does address illegal immigration both at the border and internally. Illegals will be less likely to enter AZ and those already there are leaving for other states or going home. Once the rest of our states start protecting their borders in the same manner the illegals will have no other choice but to go back home.

This has got to be one of the worst smear campaign articles I have ever read. SB1070 is not a Nazi bill. "Ripping citizenship papers out of a tiny baby's hands"? Could you possibly get more dramatic and ridiculous? There are many patriotic Americans who want to see birthright citizenship changed due to the abuse by illegal alien parents. Most first world countries require that at least one parent be a citizen in order for their newborn to gain instant citizenship. The writers of the 14th never intended newborns of lllegal alien parents born on our soil to gain citizenship in that manner. There would be no "ripping" of citizenship papers from a newborn because after the law were to go into affect they wouldn't be citizens with papers to be "ripped". It would not be retroactive to anyone born in this manner prior to the law taking affect.

So no matter what Pierce or any other person who doesn't share your views says or does you will demonize them for life? He said he doesn't want Nazi type people around him and for that he gets smeared? But do continue to smear anyone eternally who doesn't share your views. It is what the far left does.

That's funny, because "conservative" Russell Pearce actually did try to do just that in 2007, by submitting a printed ballot argument urging voters to approve the taxpayer subsidized, very speculative, Waveyard development proposal...."bring the ocean to Arizona" kind of stuff. Despite the very generous city subsidies, the venture never got off the ground because, not surprisingly, even though voters approved it, the inexperienced developers never had and couldn't any financing for their promised development.

The next year this self-described "fiscal conservative" Pearce publicly endorsed another humongous taxpayer subsidized development deal for a gigantic Gaylord hotel in east Mesa. Although that proposed development received the required voter approval, that too has yet to see the first spade of dirt being turned.

I have read about Pearce and the objection by the left of him is mostly due to his involvement in writing of SB1070. Those object to its implementation are ther racists and ethnocentrics that think that their ethnic group should be above our laws. There are many stats available about the crimes committed by illegal aliens. Doesn't matter the volume or non-volume of them either because if they weren't here that would be less crime committed in our country.

There is nothing racist about the term "anchor baby" either. It just means that the illegal alien parents feel they can anchor themselves onto our country by reproducing on our soil. It anchors them to our welfare system also by giving birth on our soil.

SB1070 was supported by a huge majority of Americans. Are they all racists? What race are we talking about?

"Subject to the jurisdiction thereof" does not translate to "owes allegiance to that person's native country." It simply means being subject to our laws while on our soil. If they weren't "subject to our jurisdiction" we certainly would not be able to deport them. The only people exempt are "foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, BUT WILL INCLUDE EVERY OTHER CLASS OF PERSONS."Pay attention to the commas: "aliens" is merely a synonym for "foreigners." A foreign ambassador residing in our country cannot even be held responsible for paying a parking ticket, to say nothing of high crimes and misdemeanors, and a baby born here to the family of the foreign ambassador is not a U.S. citizen. That's the only exception. NOT granting U.S. citizenship to all other babies born on our soil -- which includes babies born to gypsies and American Indians, which was "fully discussed in this body" of the 1868 Congress -- would be a violation of the 14th Amendment as all the U.S. Supreme Court case law on the topic substantiates.

Sen. Pearce and others such as yourself can concentrate your efforts on lobbying to get the wording of the 14th Amendment changed to not allow for birthright citizenship.But an attempt to flagrantly and openly violate the Amendment, which Sen. Pearce says he proposes to do, is not the mark of a responsible legislator.

You can of course choose to believe Pearce and badmouth those who disagree with you and him all you wish, but the courts are the final determining factor. Three separate pieces of Arizona legislation for which he takes credit are presently in the higher courts already. This will be a fourth if he, enough legislators and Governor Coughlin allow for his proposal to be enacted into Arizona law.

Meanwhile our state budget is in crisis.

I'm no lawyer but....if illegal aliens are not subject to "our" jurisdiction...why are they in our jails and prisons? Why are there, essentially, predetermined sentences for those caught up in Streamline? Why are illegals subject to incarceration and prosecution when they commit crimes in "our" country?

Can you be more hypocritical in your response to first claim that illegals are not subject to "our" jurisdiction but 2 paragraphs later write about stats/crimes committed by illegals in "our" country?

I don't think anyone is claiming to be above the law. What they are wanting is the law to be applied equally and fairly. SB1070 does not need to have language that is free of racist intent or profiling; by it's very nature and intent, in this state, it demands racial profiling. I'd love to hear one rational and realistic explanation as to how 1070 would be applied without race being considered at all. I believe most agree that the current border situation is broken, badly and has been for a long, long time. It does not fixing....but, SB1070 does absolutely nothing to address it.
