Heck, I didn't get paid when I participated in some of the protests previously, and I certainly don't need to when expressing disgust at the rogue KKKonstable. Regardless, it isn't so much about being paid to do something most Arizonians in Nazicopa County enjoy doing--protesting arpaio the tyrant. Its about giving awareness to the masses of ill-informed relating to arpaio's ongoing and continuing corruption hence--abuses to his position.

Then again, going after ACORN, doesn't have any effect on PUENTE by itself and everyone knows that. That would be like going after the NSM and the KKK is left untouched. Obviously, his retarded ploy will not work. Sal's crew will keep the pressure on at Wells Fargo--the epicenter of evil. One can see why arpaio is getting dumber and thus desperate by the day, is that he thinks that going after ACORN will somehow end the protest against him....

Clear example of how this nut is shooting in the dark. The most horrific fact about all this is that it's costing him nothing, because the tax payers are paying for it.

Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?

Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008.
They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books.

They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student.

They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth.

Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naoveti, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.

Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.

The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth,

Apparently you aren't aware of the several ongoing investigations into Arpaio and MCSO. This case is just one cause for the DOJ investigations, there are several more. Im sorry to have to inform you Bill, but profiling by the color of ones skin is against the law, and by not stopping it and just ignoring the problem, Arpaio himself might as well be the one doing it. If thats not enough, lets get into the illegal SCA campaign fund involving arpaio, thomas, hendershott, and 7 other high ranking MCSO officials. All who stood to lose their jobs if arpaio lost the election, one in particular (henderhsott)who leaked the information in the ads not once, but twice during election time to embarass the same person. If thats not enough, we can always go back to the several inmate deaths where guards were involved, and all were said to have been accidents..only problem is, the very evidence that could prove them right, or prove that their lying through their teeth, always seems to vanish. Whether it be a video tape, or a mans crushed larynx. Its been noted that some of these guards have since been promoted. So to sum that up, while we the taxpayers are paying around 6 mil a death, the ones responsible are getting raises. I cant understand why people like this or condone it, so maybe you can explain it to me Bill.....

Is there really anything to AARPaio's ACORN allegations?

Or is this his opportunity to piggyback allegations on their existing problems.

Or is this his opportunity to review records from ACORN that he can turn into an "anonymous" tip to justify starting a criminal investigation.

Dr. Timothy McCarthy while receiving a medical award for creativity, reported his findings to the Fellows of plastic surgery, concluding with this case study: "Several years ago a woman was high on cocaine and marijuana and she rode a horse head-on into a train traveling 80 miles an hour. All I had left to work with was the woman's hair and the horse's ass. I was able to put them together and now she's Speaker of the House.

The radical community organization ACORN finally and deservedly has fallen on some hard times. In just the last week, the U.S. Census Bureau severed its ties with ACORN, the U.S. Senate denied the organization access to housing funds, and -- to top it all off -- the House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to deny ACORN all federal funds yesterday.

So, why is ACORN getting the cold shoulder in Washington with their former lawyer currently occupying the White House and liberals running Congress?

The tipping point was the release of the hidden camera videos that quickly became an Internet (www.BigGovernment.com) and Fox News Channel sensation last week. Young conservative journalists caught ACORN workers red-handed trying to advise the undercover reporters on how to evade tax, immigration, AND child prostitution laws!

Apparently, voter registration fraud is of no concern to the Obama administration. But fraudulent loans to fake pimps, now that crosses the line!

Judicial Watch launched an aggressive investigation of ACORN following press reports suggesting the U.S. Census had decided to partner with the organization. The Obama administration tried to downplay the ACORN-Census connection - calling the allegations "baseless." But Judicial Watch persisted.

And, as you may recall, we obtained smoking gun documents from the Census Bureau detailing the substantial partnership with ACORN, including ACORN's original Census partnership application. The document described 18 different areas of responsibility requested by ACORN, which, at the time, was under investigation in multiple states for illegal activity during the 2008 election, including voter registration fraud.

Under the partnership agreement, the Census Bureau offered ACORN the opportunity to "recruit Census workers" who would participate in the count. And, as an "executive level" partner, ACORN would have had the ability to "organize and/or serve as a member on a Complete Count Committee," which, according to Census documents, helps "develop and implement locally based outreach and recruitment campaigns."

We found this unacceptable. And the documents we uncovered, coupled with a massive public education campaign, led to an avalanche of negative publicity for ACORN and the Census Bureau. For example, I appeared twice on Fox News to discuss the scandal -- Megyn Kelly and Glenn Beck highlighted our work.

Sure enough, in a letter to ACORN, Census Director Robert Groves wrote: "It is clear that ACORN's affiliation with the 2010 census promotion has caused sufficient public concern in the general public...and may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 census efforts."

Judicial Watch's ACORN-Census investigation is just one component of a larger campaign to expose the organization. Overall, we've filed over two dozen Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests regarding allegations of ACORN misconduct with various agencies.

The good news from all of this is that ACORN is finally on the run. Its funding was cut. It was exposed as a complete fraud (again). And Judicial Watch helped force the U.S. Census to kick the organization to the curb where they belong. It's about time.

ACORN advocate Barney Frank evidently went into hiding for the vote yesterday, but he surely remains a supporter and runs the powerful Financial Services Committee (a key committee for the ACORN housing operations).

Glancing over the chart, one could not help noticing her payer status: Medicaid. She smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and, somehow, still has money to buy beer. And our president expects me to pay for this woman's health care? Our nation's health care crisis is not a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. It is a crisis of culture — a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. Obama's Two-Faced Stance on Health Care for Illegals

Facing enormous public opposition galvanized by Rep. Joe Wilson's (R-SC) outburst, the White House initially backtracked on illegal aliens and healthcare reform. The latest Obama administration position is this: Illegal aliens will not only be ineligible to receive taxpayer funded subsidies for healthcare, now they will not even be able to purchase health insurance with their own funds in a government-created marketplace.

Here's the story according to The Associated Press:

"The White House said last week that President Barack Obama will oppose allowing illegal immigrants to buy insurance through the purchasing exchanges, including from participating private companies...Also, a system would be created to verify people buying from the exchange are in the country legally, he said."

Of course, the White House claims this was the Obama policy from the very beginning. Not true. Even Congressional Democrats were confused by the switch.

"I'm not sure if Gibbs misspoke," Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA), vice chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, said Tuesday.

Rep. Wilson's outburst during Obama's healthcare speech before Congress last week drew heavy and sustained criticism from the liberal press and their hypocritical allies in Congress, but it also brought attention to one of the most objectionable components of Obamacare, and this has clearly had an impact. So have the many polls indicating that the public adamantly opposes extending healthcare benefits to illegals.

In fact, according to a nationwide Pulse Opinion Research poll, 53% of liberals and progressives believe providing healthcare to undocumented aliens is a bad idea. And almost half - 46% - agree with Rep. Wilson that Obama's plan as described would provide healthcare coverage to illegal immigrants. If Obama can't even get leftist radicals to buy off on the idea, it has absolutely no shot with mainstream Americans.

Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) immediately seized on the Obama administration's policy reversal, saying that he would include in his bill a provision that would bar illegals from purchasing insurance through these taxpayer-subsidized exchanges, even if illegals are willing and able to pay the full cost.

But hold on. What do you do if you are President Obama and want to give taxpayer-subsidized healthcare to illegal immigrants despite overwhelming public opposition? You make all the illegal aliens into legal immigrants by granting them amnesty! And then you throw out longstanding federal policy and give taxpayer subsidies to legal immigrants who are not citizens!

This Washington Times headline says it all: "Obama: Legalize Illegals To Get Them Health Care."

This Obama two-step on healthcare for illegals is about the worst example of presidential policy deception I've seen in my 23 years in Washington. Congressman Wilson may have been ill-mannered, but I now doubt he was inaccurate.

Judicial Watch Uncovers Documents from Treasury Related to Government-Brokered Acquisition of Bear Stearns by JP Morgan

Judicial Watch's comprehensive investigation of the federal government's takeover of large swaths or our economy continues to break headlines. This week we uncovered documents from the Treasury Department regarding the March 2008 government-brokered acquisition of Wall Street firm Bear Stearns by JP Morgan Chase and Co.

This was many months and many bailouts ago, so here's a bit of the backstory on this deal.

On Sunday, March 16, 2008, JP Morgan announced that it had acquired the troubled Bear Stearns for a price of $2 per share, a fraction of the firm's $30 market price on Friday, March 14. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York (NY FRB) supported the deal with $30 billion in funding at the direction of then-Treasury Secretary Henry "Hank" Paulson.

Until now, very little was known about the backdoor wheeling and dealing that took place among the Treasury Department, JP Morgan and Bear Stearns.

The documents we recently uncovered, despite the Obama Treasury's heavy (and improper) redactions, provide some fascinating backdrop to the Bear Stearns deal. They include "confidential" term sheets describing the deal, released to the public for the first time, along with behind-the-scenes email correspondence between Treasury officials showing that JP Morgan officials believed Bear Stearns to be "nearly worthless" just hours before the acquisition deal was announced to the press on Sunday night, May 16.

In fact, to get a sense of the tenuous nature of the negotiations, check out this email sent Sunday morning by NY FRB official Michael Holscher to then-head of the NY FRB and current Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, entitled "JPM Findings":

JPM [JP Morgan] has discovered a large (50bn) structured mortgage position funded by BSC [Bear Stearns Capital], as well as other risk positions that are making them balk on the deal. I have asked for a report on their findings to assess the exposures. They also indicated that BSC's risk positions are exactly what JPM has avoided in recent years. They estimate the book value of the firm to be nearly worthless...and that risks on other unknowns are to the downside. They inquired about options that the federal government may have to bail out/ purchase BSC, we indicated that options are extremely limited.

Ultimately, of course, JP Morgan received the guarantees it needed from taxpayers to consummate the deal to obtain the "worthless" Bear Stearns later that evening.

These FOIA documents were initially withheld from Judicial Watch in March and were only released after an administrative appeal to the Obama Treasury Department. Nonetheless, Treasury redacted many of these new documents and withheld many others in their entirety.

Judicial Watch is also pursuing a FOIA lawsuit for Vern McKinley, who is seeking documents on, among other bailout topics, the government's contention that a Bear Stearns collapse would have caused a "contagion" in the financial system. This lawsuit was highlighted in a September 13 editorial in The Wall Street Journal.

With respect to the Bear Stearns deal, this was nothing more than a scam. Paulson sold the American people on the idea that this bailout would help stave off chaos in the financial markets. Of course, we know now that it did nothing of the sort. Since Bear Stearns, the federal government has committed trillions of taxpayer dollars to prop up other "worthless" financial institutions (and a zombie car company or two) with no end in sight.

Rest assured Judicial Watch will continue to force the government to come clean with the American people about "Bailout Nation" and its attendant corruption.

It's the Liberty, Stupid

Well, it's official. The Obama phenomenon is over. Permanently.

It's not just that Obama's favorite weapon, the Big Speech, no longer moves public opinion. (Last Wednesday's health-care speech produced a slight "bounce" in public support for the health-care bill, but it disappeared in less than a week.)

What really ends the era of Obama is this: a major part of Obama's appeal was his symbolism as the first black president, which was supposed to give Americans an opportunity to put the whole ugly history of racial politics behind them. Yet here we are, less than eight months into Obama's administration, and the racial politics are worse than they have been in a long time.

Within days of Saturday's giant "tea party" rally in Washington, Obama's supporters in the press began denouncing the protesters as racists. That's what Jimmy Carter says, and Time's Joe Klein, and The American Prospect's Paul Waldman, and Paul Krugman and Maureen Dowd at the New York Times, among others.

What is their evidence? Well, they don't have any-just over-active imaginations. Krugman opines that the "driving force" behind the tea party movement is "probably.cultural and racial anxiety," while Dowd says that when Joe Wilson told Obama he was lying, "what I heard was an unspoken word in the air: You lie, boy!... Some people just can't believe a black man is president and will never accept it." Those are the journalistic standards at the Times nowadays: it's OK to libel half the population based on what you imagine they are "probably" thinking and on words they didn't say.

Along the same lines, Klein attributes opposition to Obama to "implicit" racism, while "social psychologist" Thomas Pettigrew makes explicit what this charge of "implicit racism" means: "The general idea is that people who don't recognize it in themselves look for legitimate means to carry out their subtle beliefs, sometimes even without awareness on their part that they're doing it." That's how a "social psychologist" gets to project onto you his own preconceptions about your character and motives-without actually needing to talk to you and ask you what you think.

And they have not asked us what we think, none of them. It is obvious from all of the accusations of racism that these crack reporters haven't attended the "tea party" protests, haven't talked to anyone there, haven't bothered to find out who we are and what we believe. They have simply projected onto us the ugliest motive they can think of, without the need for any evidence to validate it. It is one of the most gratuitous political smear campaigns I have ever seen.

For a dose of reality, check out this set of photos taken by one of my readers at Saturday's rally. The defining characteristic of the tea party rallies, and especially last Saturday's, is the profusion of signs-the movement's dominant medium of expression. You don't have to resort to imagining words these people didn't say or projecting what was "probably" in their minds. They tell you what they're thinking, with an enormous variety and creativity of homemade signs. A few favorites: "Do I Look Like an ATM to You?" The ever-popular "Give Me Liberty, Not Debt." "Congress Is a Toxic Asset." "Free Markets Not Free Loaders." And addressing the race issue head-on: "It Doesn't Matter the President Is Black. It Matters That He's Red." The most unusual sign: a genuine one-million-Mark banknote from the German hyperinflation of the 1920s, surrounded by the motto: "Never Again."

(If you scroll down about halfway, you will also see a picture of yours truly. I'm the fellow in the blue shirt carrying a big sign with a quote from Ayn Rand expressing this "racist" sentiment: "Your life belongs to you and the good is to live it." Clearly code words for the Ku Klux Klan.)

The common theme of the signs was individual rights versus collectivism, an advocacy of limited government held to the restrictions placed on it by the Constitution. One of the signs in the photo essay sums up the message of the tea party rally: "It's the Liberty, Stupid."

The fact that the tea party had such a clear philosophical message, and that the bogus racism smear so thoroughly evades this message, says a lot about the intellectual confidence of the tea party movement-versus the lack of philosophical confidence on the left. The tea partiers are very happy to have a philosophical debate on the most basic political issues. The left, by contrast, wants to change the subject with personal, ad hominem attacks-which indicates that they are not confident that they can win the debate if it stays on the question of the size and role of government.

To say that the left is resorting to "racial politics" is a bit too vague. Let's define exactly what they are doing: they are resorting to a decades-old politics of racial slander, reflexively accusing any opponent of racism in an attempt to shut down discussion.

Racism is one of the worst insults you can throw at someone today, only a few steps up from accusing him of being a child molester. That this is so is, in fact, a tribute to the heroic change in American culture in recent decades. In less than fifty years, America has gone from a country in which segregation was openly enforced and defended to a country in which an accusation of even indirect racism can ruin a man's reputation and career. Just ask Don Imus. But this has come to be used as a weapon-a bludgeon of intimidation wielded by the left.

Barack Obama's color-blind campaign, the idea that he was running as if race didn't matter, promised us an uplifting break from this history. There were indications from the beginning, however, that he didn't really mean it. Obama had to tap dance around his close, longstanding association with the race-baiting preacher Jeremiah Wright, and he sat back while his proxies used accusations of racism as a weapon against the Clinton campaign.

If he could do that in the Democratic primary, there's no reason to think he'll object to those who are doing it again now. Obama allegedly wants to stay out of the current racism smear campaign-but leaders don't get that option. By remaining silent, he is signaling his approval; he is voting "present" on the revival of the racism smear in American politics. This is an enormous disappointment to many people who once voted for Obama-and to many others, like myself, who once saw an element of nobility in his campaign, even if we disagreed with everything else he stood for.

If Obama doesn't immediately and forcefully reject the new racism smear against the tea party movement, then he will have destroyed the last remaining element of his appeal to voters-and he will have made millions of passionate new enemies among the voting public.

Obama Ties to ACORN Date Back Nearly 20 Years

For the person who is making fun of the MD...for your information, smart one..."divulging" a patient's information would be giving their name. The patient's records were not violated. I guess it takes an education to know that though. Why call someone names anyway? What's the point in calling that Dr. a toothless hillbilly??? Looks to me that you are jealous.

This should be on the front page of every newspaper in America-in
large bold letters. This was a "letter to the editor" in the Jackson,
MS newspaper from a local physician.

Dear Sirs:
"During my last night's shift in the ER, I had the pleasure of
evaluating a patient with a shiny new gold tooth, multiple elaborate
tattoos, a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and a new cellular
telephone equipped with her favorite R & B tune for a ringtone.
Glancing over the chart, one could not help noticing her payer
status: Medicaid. She smokes more than one costly pack of
cigarettes every day and, somehow, still has money to buy beer. And
our president expects me to pay for this woman's health care? Our
nation's health care crisis is not a shortage of quality hospitals,
doctors or nurses. It is a crisis of culture - a culture in
which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on vices while
refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health
insurance. A culture that thinks, "I can do whatever I want to
because someone else will always take care of me."
Life is really not that hard.. Most of us reap what we sow.
