Gilman's latest, which takes apart certain sheriff 's deputies' statements one-by-one

This latest mini-doc from Dennis Gilman supporting the May 2 Walk for Dignity is a doozy. In it, Gilman contrasts the inflammatory statements that certain sheriff's duputies made during a recent MCSO press conference to news footage of Joe's boys in beige doing some particularly nasty deeds. The video is a little long, but worth watching, if only to see ill-spoken oafs such as 287(g) deputy Sgt. Brett Palmer rebutted by Gilman's skillful use of his video files.

Wow, Maricopa County is going to have real problems when the Joke and his henchmen go to jail. Deputies like Souza and Palmer will be going too. Just how many of these arrogant racists are members of MCSO? But where can you incarcerate these criminal thugs so they won't be killed? Actually I would bet the Aryan brotherhood would take all these boys under their wings and protect them. They seem to have the same values. You can not have so-called law enforcement officers with the anger and racist hatred on a police force in a community made up of many different minorities like Maricopa County. I hope the Board of Supervisors is planning ahead, when the fall comes it's going to be heard around the nation, if not the world. Great work Mr. Gilman!

Ya, I agree -- Road Runner fails to address the content of the videos and the obvious stupidity of the MCSO personnel that open their mouths to stick their feet in them. They have no shame to say (with a straight face no less) that they are not racially profiling. Bull Shit. The worse part is that they are angry that they are being "unjustly" accused. Unjustly, my ass. The reason why they are angry is because the environment at the MCSO gives them the impression that they have absolute power and no one better question them. That's what the anger is all about -- the fact that they are being exposed for the corrupt cops that they are and they do not like that and they probably wish they could go break down the doors of their detractors, but public opinion is turning against them here in Arizona and, of course, nationally. Plus, if they did that right now with the FBI looking over their shoulders, indictments would sure to follow the next day.
Also, I had never seen the footage of the "Toastmaster" Souza before. He makes Brett Palmer look like Oliver Wendell Holmes and Lincoln/Douglas.
RoadWiener: Once again, if you can't beat a man's argument, don't panic - you can still call him names!!!! How about some criticism of the CONTENT of Gilman's work??? Also, doesn't it strike you as ironic that an Arpaio supporter is criticizing someone for taking credit for something that someone else has actually done??? Like Arpaio "clearing" all of those warrants??? And Arpaio claiming that he's tough on illegal immigration because a certain percentage of the inmates are illegals (arrested by other agencies)???

Hey, great video, Mr. Gilman! Outstanding. (At the moment, I don't even have audio, and I'm still impressed.) Don't pay any heed to comments from "Road Warrior Runner". Apparently, someone feels threatened and has decided that you're vulnerable to psychological attacks; but instead of criticizing the video on its content, which might play into your hands, they're attempting to undermine your legitimacy and credibility as a documentary producer. By all means, keep on making completely original videos, but don't let those comments discourage you from your video clearinghouse activities: you really brought it together nicely, and nowhere else can this be found at a single video source. This might even be your metier. Video editing is also a creative act, especially when it organizes powerful images into a coherent whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. If anything, the inclusion of video from mainstream sources (integrated with your original activist video) adds to the credibility of your final product.

Hey RW Runner, If you can get Arpaio to pull this video and arrest Gilman you'll make this a cult film classic and it'll be distributed around the world as the video Maricopa County racists didn't want anyone to see. You will insure national fame for Gilman and put a nice nail in Arpaio's coffin as trying to censor the truth about him and his deputies. I suggest you go for it. Contact SWAT Captain Dave and these other racist pinhead cops in the video. They aren't smart enough to think it through and will probably bust Gilmans door down tonight. (ski masks optional) You may have a problem though since the on-line news clips Gilman used are fair use and in addition he has contributed photos and footage to channel 12, 15, and 5, NY-times and Huff Post without asking for a penny. Also, you may want to check the dictionary about the definition of Plagiarism as you saying Gilman plagiarizes opens you up for a slander lawsuit. But if you knew what you were talking about you would've already known that. Here is the harsh reality: If this video were pulled, it would be put up again within the same hour by someone else in California, New York, Mexico City etc...get the msg? If the MCSO won't arrest Gilman, perhaps you can get Class West to file a lawsuit.
So, I was re-watching the video and by Gosh -- the most obnoxious of them bunch is Souza. Well, they are all just repulsive. Disgusting -- specially in the face of so much documentary evidence. They come accross as morons howling in the wind. Fucking Baghdad Souza.

Has it occurred to you that many folks have video cameras and they actually use them for these 'events' and then send the results to Mr. Gilman or allow him to use them? On one hand the deputies demand respect (which always must be earned) and on the other hand they tell the very folks who might respect them to 'shut up'. I always giggle when I see the MCSO 'intelligence tells us' video from the shurf, about getting corn from drop houses. Drugs, guns, etc, sure, but corn? Please. I just saw on AzCentral that the Feds have actually arrived at MCSO and are starting their investigation. I guess all the wrinkled winkle has to do is dispatch Palmer and the lieutenant there to tell the federal investigators to "shut up", or simply "go away". RWR - never heard of "Fair Use," I suppose... If you actually watched the video, the station IDs are still there. Gilman hid nothing and never claimed something was his when it wasn't. Sigh, just another example of someone who thinks they know something and then opens their mouths and we all learn they don't know jack.
What you see in this so-called "mini-doc" is a bunch of PLAGIARIZED videos put together by a pseudo “film maker” who doesn’t have the least regard for work other media professional media produce. Most of these images have been illegally taken from local news channels!!! These ARE NOT Gillman’s files; they have been literally plagiarized and put together as if this is a work of his. Shame on you Gillman, STOP messing with professional work truly produced and edited by legitimate media people who went to school and paid the price in more than one way to become professionals. You and those who promote your plagiarism’s puzzle are a sad example of how low internet video and image thieves have come. STOP doing what you are doing. Shoot and produce your own videos so at least you can be given credit for something you actually do!
