It ain't hard proving state Representative Russell Pearce is a bigot when the guy does the job for you on a regular basis. As Feathered Bastard readers know, the prejudiced Pearce has been photographed arm-in-arm in the past with Mesa neo-Nazi J.T. Ready and has been caught forwarding e-mails to his supporters from the neo-Nazi National Alliance. Recently, I blogged about how Pearce's contributor list has included such anti-immigrant ne'er-do-wells as Don "Goofy" Goldwater, Rusty "Crusty" Childress, Minuteman Chris Simcox, and Al "StepinFetchit" Rodriguez.
Now the Arizona Republic has revealed in a brief item today that Pearce is seeking $5 donations from fellow racists on anti-brown clown Glenn Spencer's Web site, americanpatrol.com. Spencer is one of the worst bigots in the Southwest, and fronts an anti-immigrant hate group in Sierra Vista called American Border Patrol. He's been denounced by both the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center. By his own admission, he's participated in conferences sponsored by such wacko groups as the Council of Conservative Citizens and American Renaissance. And Spencer's made plenty of outrageous, dumbass statements during his career as a hatemonger. Like in 1996, when he reportedly wrote the Los Angeles Times, stating,
"The Mexican culture is based on deceit. Chicanos and Mexicanos lie as a means of survival. Mexicans who have truly become Americans have shed themselves of this survival mechanism."
Spencer's had trouble with Johnny Law too. According to the Sierra Vista Herald, the trigger-happy hot-head pleaded guilty in 2004 "to a charge of endangering persons with a substantial risk of imminent death," was fined $2,500 by the court, and placed on probation for the Class 6 felony. Seems Spencer thought he was being invaded one night in 2003, and opened fire. One of the bullets penetrated a building on a neighbor's property.
This is the sort of racist wing-nut who supports Russell Pearce, and Pearce seems unabashed in pleading for moolah from his fellow extremists.
"I need about 250 $5 contributions to qualify [for Clean Elections]," he writes in the letter on Spencer's site. "[Donors] must live in Legislative District 18 to contribute."
So what is he gonna do with the five-buck "contributions" that come through the mail from outside D-18? Oh, I'm sure ol' Russ will send those right back...
Meanwhile, ex-Kia-peddler Rusty Childress' Web site immigrationbuzz.com is boasting that Pearce helped Childress' rabidly ant-immigrant United for a Sovereign America score space on the capitol lawn for a little prejudice party the organization is throwing May 1.
"A thank you to Rep. Russell Pearce for securing the House Lawn for this Patriotic Celebration!" reads the hate-site.
In any case, I know most of you have to work for a living, unlike Childress' tribe of scoundrels, but if you have the time and the inclination to see some real knuckledraggers pat each other on the back and call themselves "patriots," by all means join the party. A little opposition to these numbskulls would be most welcome. And who knows? Maybe you'll get to see Russell Pearce hug another neo-Nazi.
Damn that Pearce is sure crying for help isn't he? Its a shame, a travesty in the finest sense, calling his conrtubutions "Clean Elections" when the greenbacks that roll in are straight-up dirty, just like the drug monies siezed in DEA raids.
BTW, the old wing-nut is just sooooooooo desperate plain and simply--going so low in search for badly needed money as in the decrepit cesspools like that of Glen Spencers`.
Well, he went to the right place.
The wackjob is a loner with no true allies, which explains why he's reaching out to White Supremacists in his latter days in office is surely gonna backfire on him.
