This time Arpio is treading on Reservation Land. He will attempt to mess up treaties that are over 100 years old.

Although The U.S.A Mansion Family was not out last night, I did get video of one Joe Supporter who was argueing that Guadalupe was not Indian Land. Ignorance must be a requirement for Arpio supporters these days.

Is there a way to plug into the phone trees/networks to get out to these protests so I can show my support? I think this issue is a class struggle issue as well as a border issue-therefore making it REALLY important (unlike the ritual 'lets go deliver a petition to john Mccain's office' letdowns)

While driving to work today, I finally realized that something does need to be done about illegal’s and Arpaio is on the right track. But he could do more.

Arpaio should have his Posse set up road blocks at every entrance coming In/Out of Maricopa County. ALL Vehicles will be stopped no matter what color or make they are. This way it’s not racial profiling. ID/Papers of all occupants will then be demanded to verify you are here legally.

If anyone in the vehicle does not have ID/Papers, forgot them at home or lost them, it doesn’t matter. You will be taken to a concentration/processing camp in the middle of the desert, given baloney sandwiches, water and tents to sleep in.

If Arpaio’s people, (and only Arpaio’s people) can verify your background, you will be set free after the completed processing can be done. This will include fingerprinting, Facial and Retina Scans for future use and sharing with Honduras.

If you’re background cannot be verified by Arpaio’s staff, you will be given a choice to be deported back to your original country of origin or be exterminated. If Arpaio’s staff think you’re background ID/Papers are false for ANY reason, YOU WILL be exterminated. After all, what part of illegal didn’t you understand…

Anyone who doesn’t appear to be completely White/US Origin will have to go through an additional extensive background check going back 3 generations before being set free just to be sure.

Then at the end of the day, we can all go downtown and huddle at the base of the Wells Fargo building. Wait for our leader Fuhrer Arpaio to come out and stand on the rooftop and shout out everyone their daily pep talk as we yell Arpaio, Arpaio, Arpaio.

Now this really sounds like fun. What have I been thinking….I’m seeing things much more clearly now. Thanks to all Pro Arpaio people for helping me see the light.

If someone is honking his horn to show support for the protesters, then I would think that pulling them over for "improper use of horn" becomes a freedom of speech issue.

With Rusty the Kklown Childress and the Soveriegn Un-America, not showing up in support of Joe Arpithied, shows us that their support of Joe Arpithied`s incompetance is lacking. With time going by and the countdown to Novemeber`s electoriate for the Sheriff Office, more and more people are walking away from the weakening stance of Arpaio. Its quite clear to everyone that Joe`s poll rating and support continues to graviate into downward spiral--dramatically. Depsite the phoney numbers shown on Faux10`s poll, was pure hogwash at best. In just a matter of weeks or months, the poll numbers will drop like dead flies for Joe and for Saban will rise above.

No matter what those cowardly and gutless folks like Gary Peter Kahlr says about Arpaio`s support base, I'm always optimistic. Even if Arpaio wins again, there is no doubt another wave of action will take place, from Federal investigation into fraud, from audits being performed and possibly more lawsuits, deaths, and another recall effort runned by somebody more effective than Leonard Clark. And I also assumed that communities such as Gaudalupe and possibly others will most likely councel their contract with the MSCO`s BIASED law enforcement services.

It might be the slow demise of the MSCO altoegther once Arpaio`s re-elected. I guess nobody will start taking them seriously......

Lemons recently cited a poll that has Arpaio dropping two more points to 57%. He'll be sub 50% by mid-summer. Then we'll see people jump from his ship in droves.

I agree with every negative and nasty thing everyone else has to say about Nickel Bag Joe. He's worse than an ineffective bad joke as a cop, he's a fucking disaster.

Nickel Bag Joe’s efforts are laughable at best. With all that noise and manpower he manages to harass only the least offensive people out there. Meanwhile, serious law enforcement agencies with far fewer resources are going after major offenders. They are targeting smugglers and gangs.

Unlike MCSO chasing down corn vendors and people with burned out license plate bulbs, the rest of the law enforcement community are hunting illegal aliens who are killers, robbers, kidnappers, rapists, pimps, drug dealers, gun runners and smugglers.

Harking bag to Arpaio’s days in the DEA, he chases only the lowest hanging fruit that isn’t harming anyone anyway. Meanwhile, the real cops are going after those that threaten us all.

On the general topic of illegal immigration, we need comprehensive immigration reform in this country, and we needn’t it a long time ago. That has to begin with getting our border security in hand. Personally, I’d send the military to get it done, complete with building all the walls and fences and observation posts we may need. I‘d send them in numbers sufficient so any attack by gang members, drug cartel soldiers or other armed invaders would be met with heavy and effective return fire.

Now, that’s about the immediate security concern, not the numerous long term issues. Once the border is under control we must get our military the hell out of there and replace them with as large a Border Patrol as may be needed. Doing this will vastly reduce the needless and horrific deaths of innocents in our deserts, the subjugation of illegal migrants by gangs and the smuggling of drugs to the north and guns to the south.

Towards those already here in violation of our immigration laws, you will not find my outlook to be blood thirsty but nor is it likely to be to your liking. I am willing to give these people a path to becoming citizens, but it won’t be easy or cheap. I would require fines, community service, the learning of English, longer waiting periods and tougher testing.

A foundational belief underlying American Law is that the punishment must fit the crime. I do not want to exceed that, and deporting millions and busting up families for the simple offense of having snuck into the country strikes me as extreme. If other crimes were committed, those must be addressed through existing laws.

But so long as the people we are dealing with desire to become law abiding citizens, have been law abiding except for the crime of illegal immigration, admit to their crime and pay the penalties assessed, then I would be happy to have them stay right where they are.

In concept, I support the Dream Act for children brought here by their parents. But the parents would have to own up to their crime and set it right. That’s the price for having broken the law, you have to pay the price that any society based upon laws demands of you.

Our processes for lawful immigration are a tangled, slow and absurdly expensive mess. The FBI is hopelessly backlogged on criminal background checks. Good people who sincerely want to be citizens of our country spend thousands of dollars and wait years to get in. While I realize this situation is not the only reason people sneak in, it has been more than enough a hurdle for many to risk the life and death journey across our deserts. The system must be overhauled, streamlined, made affordable and adequately staffed.

I could go on but the point ought to be clear enough. The immigration issue is in truth many issues, with complex problems and no simple solutions. It needs to be looked at in its component elements, and each addressed in a well thought out and specific approach.

If all we do is choose between no action, and right wing wacko action, we will continue to be in the same mess. If we address only one element of the immigration problem, we will again achieve nothing. We are in great need of a comprehensive approach and leaders with the guts to say so.

I am not about to hold my breath waiting for such a leader.

Gordon's rallying call brings sounds of silence

That was it? That's all the love Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon is going to get?

No disrespect to the small, plucky group of politicians and activists who showed up earlier this week to publicly support Gordon's condemnation of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's immigration sweeps, but the highest-profile people among them were the state Democratic Party chairman and one state legislator.

Where's everybody else?

Someone from Congress maybe? The governor? Big-time business executives?

A week ago, speaking to a fired-up audience at a luncheon honoring the late civil-rights activist Cesar Chavez, Gordon got a standing ovation for taking on Arpaio and his immigration policies.

He called the neighborhood sweeps Arpaio's deputies have been conducting in search of illegal immigrants "made-for-TV stunts."

There were cheers when the mayor said of the sheriff, "Don't say you're going after murderers when you're not. Don't call it crime suppression when it isn't."

There was applause when the mayor defiantly declared, "If he really wants to fight crime, he should start rounding up dangerous criminals who have outstanding felony warrants issued for them. There are thousands of outstanding warrants in this county. How long are those going to stay piled up on his desk?"

The mayor ended his speech with this impassioned plea: "I call upon everyone in this room - especially the non-Hispanics in this room - to speak out. Make your voices heard."

The righteously inspired and newly motivated crowd rose to its feet, all pumped up and seemingly eager to "speak out."

And I'm sure they will. Eventually.

Although, apparently, not just yet.

Or, maybe, never.

Here at the newspaper, we keep up on what politicians and other bigwigs have to say and, other than the nice but not terribly well-known folks who backed up the mayor earlier this week, we have heard . . . nothing.

The equivalent of crickets chirping.

Or wind rustling through leaves.

Why is that? I asked Gordon.

"You know," the mayor said. "He (Arpaio) scares them off. They (the kind of high-profile politicians and others who should be speaking publicly) tell me what they think, but . . . "

They're unwilling to go up against Arpaio, who has high public-approval ratings and a publicity machine that knows how to counterattack.

So, shortly after the luncheon crowd finished singing Gordon's praises, they resorted to the theme song of most elected officials who disagree with Arpaio: The Sound of Silence.

The sheriff was not so shy. He responded immediately after Gordon's speech, promising more immigrant sweeps in Phoenix and adding, "The Phoenix police ought to come out here and clean up this neighborhood, and then we wouldn't have to come out here."

He added that Gordon should be thanking him rather than criticizing him.

"I only wish that I'd said something sooner," Gordon told me. "The sheriff has enough resources to put 200 posse members and officers into a square mile, and arrests 50 people. With fewer officers, the Phoenix PD, DPS and the FBI arrested 500 gang members. These are much more dangerous people. That's what we should be concentrating on."

The mayor believes that many, many prominent people in Arizona - both in and out of politics - stand firmly behind him on this.

And I agree. They're behind you, Phil.

"As a community, we see him going out setting up his troops and stopping people at random -- racial profiling," said Hector Yturralde, president of We Are America.

Yturralde, Lydia Guzman with Respect Respecto and immigrants' activist and former state lawmaker Alfredo Gutierrez expressed concerns that Arpaio's patrols, which have drawn large groups of protesters, will end up in violence.

"We're seeing people come out of the shadows who are very angry because at some point they feel victimized," said Guzman. "And other people are coming out of maybe the other side of the shadows and saying we want something done."

"He chose to take this extraordinary provocative approach," Gutierrez said, adding that during last week's operation, "We were able to maintain control, but barely." He said more patrols could lead to formal resistance, i.e. civil disobedience on the streets of Phoenix.

"I think that will begin to occur at his next excursion, the next time he brings 200 or 300 people into a neighborhood to arrest people," Gutierrez said.

For someone who supposedly owns his own business and works "10 hours" a day steelemule sure has a lot of time to post messages.

The threats (which are against the law--what part of illegal don't you understand steelemule?), the bragging about being a bully, the false bravado about how much money he allegedly makes--can you say compensation issues?

The poll was published 11/20/07. It polled Maricopa County voters, and found:

The last Cronkite/Eight poll Dr. Bruce Merrill has done, was a February poll, which had nothing to do with the Sheriff. There was also a January poll, which had nothing to do with the Sheriff.

Note that the fake newspaper article Steele posts has no date on it, and does not tell you where it\'s from. Nor is it written like a real newspaper article. And, as mentioned, he gives no link to it.

Steels is a liar, but not a very good one. His lies are easily disproved.

Further proving how incredibly stupid Steele must be, is this quote:
